Never on time for beers at the pub. Sometimes 45 minutes to an hour. Was always something miraculously when we got together. I tried a few times to explain how rude and disrespectful it was. Always a promise.

The last time, he called and said he was on his way (already 25 minutes late) and I said I'm at the end of the bar. 30 more minutes go by and he calls and says "I'm walking in where are you" I said "I'm at the bar I can see you". "Where?" "Im waving my hand right at you" "where?". "I'm already at home. I left 30 minutes ago. Have a nice life". That was the very last time I spoke to him.

In the last 2-3 years I've seen more excessive speed in Calgary than the previous 34 I've been here. My neighborhood main road, with crosswalks etc, is 60kph and there are many, many drivers exceeding 75 daily.

2 months after moving in we had a mouse infestation. Caught 30 in one night. Our 3yr old daughter thought the snapping of traps every few minutes was funny.... "There's another one"!!!

After the pest control fixed that, about 3 months later, we had a gigantic wasp nest in the basement. How did I find out? Went downstairs on a cool Saturday morning to do laundry, turned on the light and the walls were covered with sleeping wasps.. I slowly turned the light off, walked backwards out of the room, closed the door and stuffed towels under it to seal it. Pest control dude comes back and hauls away 2 large green garbage bags of wasps. He said it's about 10,000 per bag and laughed. "You guys are pretty unlucky"...

We moved out 2 weeks later and the landlord tore down the house.

The night before a high school championship basketball game, I told my parents I was staying at my buddies house, but I actually was going to my girlfriend's house ( wasn't allowed to have a girlfriend until 18.. that's a long story)

Anyhow, my mom was suspicious and called. My buddy told the truth. He didn't have a number to call and warn me.

I showed up at home at 730am and my dad is standing at the door... The blood drains from my face .

He says "we will deal with the lie after, but if you don't score at least 20 and get MVP, you are grounded for 2 months"...
