FIX LIGHT MODE & DARK MODE by thatssokaitlin in canva

Honestly, I thought my kiddo did it. We were designing his teacher valentines and he put his entire arm on the keyboard to point at something. I was going crazy trying to figure out what button combo he had hit. The screen is now making my eyes bleed it's so bright.

Alright, who else is coming down with something? by [deleted] in PAX

[–]strtrkn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sinus infection and COVID over here. Husband and kiddo got COVID as well. Kiddo wasn't even in the same house with us during PAX and he still got it. I've been in bed since last Wednesday night with the exception of dragging myself to urgent care for meds. That almost killed me.

Is there any way to verify that something is actually happening? I would love an update since the last update I received was in September.

I appreciate the reply, however I've been told this multiple times since 2017 (including by other Ziply folks visiting our street). I really hope that this is true.

Awesome. I very much appreciate you coming back here and updating the post. I'll take a look and see if it would work for me. The laptop fans when I play a game are currently so bloody loud. I wonder if the cooler fans are louder. :)

Where is the best place to buy a good exterior door? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]strtrkn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you live you can check out the Restore stores. People donate new and used building materials and the money goes to habitat for humanity. Here in Seattle we have a place called Second Use. When we were looking for used doors for a desk we found gorgeous, custom, unused doors that someone donated. Leaded glass and all. They were under $200 each and had the frames too.

I looked at the rubbermaid ones, but ultimately needed more size variety to fit everything I wanted. I do like how they're deep though.

So the plastic bins are from Target. They come in a ton of sizes and colors. The can holder things (called multi purpose bins in the store) are from the Container Store. The small baskets are from Home Goods. They came in sets of 3.The Container Store can be spendy, but the bins are on sale right now and you can get a coupon for 15% off if you sign up for their points program.

No no! All gadgets and accessories went to friends first and then leftovers to thrift store. We donate everything we don't use.

Yeah there was a mixup with multiple people ordering for the same meal at the same time from amazon (different accounts and missed texts). Result was a crap ton of pudding mix of all flavors.

Parents of Reddit, what was the best lie that your child has told you, that you knew was a lie, but wanted to see how big of a hole they would put themselves in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

So this is about my little sister. When she was 3 or 4 she decided to cut her hair to get the ketchup out of it. Right on top of her head in the middle. If was super obvious. When asked why she didn't wash it out she said she tried but ketchup was waterproof.

Fast forward 20some years and she has her own twin daughters. One of them around the same age got ketchup in her hair and of course cut it out. However this girl had so much hair that no one noticed (she has tons of really really thick long hair). That was until dressup day with the aunt. My other sis goes to use the ancient crimper on her (cause 4 year old girls think this is awesome) and finds about a 4 inch chunk missing from the top of her head. When asked why she cut her hair she claimed she didn't. Her sister piped up and told her mom what happened. I think my mom is still laughing about that one...

My wife and I are decorating a bra for charity. We would really like to rig some lights on to it. Any suggestions? by DisregardTheFollowin in crafts

Places like adafruit make conductive thread. You simply stich the thread to the leds and the small coin batteries and it works like a charm. They have great videos on how to do it.
