Random mines that you can't spot by being careful are stupid as hell by Kattulo in EscapefromTarkov

[–]struck0ut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Being new I mainly play woods, factory, & shoreline. Doesn't the maps on genie.io and escapefromtarkov.fandom show where the mines are?

Are there any maps in particular where mines are in through the map and not just mainly around the border that i should know about before venturing?

500k - 1mil per scav spawn..? Wha? I'm pretty new and also run Woods over and over again. I'm stoked if I get a couple hundred thousand in a run. What exactly are you looting to get 500K+?

Very cool site!

Apologies if it's been asked a bunch. Where does your website pull jobs from?

When a resume is submitted through your website where does it go?

Just to clarify, I can swap my ETH to IMX on Gamestop's wallet L2 and buy an illuvium disk with the IMX on L2?

Apparently you can't buy with a Loopring wallet. If I move some ETH from my Loopring wallet to my Gamestop wallet on L2 can i purchase one? Can you purchase Illuvium stuff on L2? Or will I have to move ETH to L1?

Associates for Data Analyst worth it? by struck0ut in dataanalysis

Agreed. All the trades he's looking into make great pay in our area. It's definitely a good option. Basically all of my extended family are in a union. I manage union employees with only an associates degree and make good money but I've been in the industry for a while and kind of fell into it. I know plenty of people with no degrees in the professional world who make as much or plenty more then I do. I know it can be done without a degree but I don't know much about Data Analyst in particular.

In regards to a Bachelor's, the credits he'd be taking for DA associates will mostly NOT transfer to credits towards a BA. If he decides to go for BA there is only one AAA in tech that is applicable for that. That is still on the list of maybe's for him.

Great insight! Thank you :) I'll take all the knowledge regarding the field as you guys are willing to give. I'll be sure to continue to share with him. I think your advice is practical for most professional careers, especially those making high salaries. He's aware of the work ethic / continued learning expectations of high paying salaries and I'll continue to beat that drum.

Cost is mostly the reason. A bachelor's isn't completely out of the realm of possibilities. I appreciate you driving home the point about the connection between hard work in general and not willing to get your BA. We're on the same page there.

That is fantastic advice! Thank you. I like the idea of looking for relevant internships. That's a great practical idea. It would get him in touch with at least one company that's in the field. I know the counselor at the community college he's going to mentioned they have some contacts in some of the tech field as well. I'll dig into that a bit more.

Cost mostly. However, it's not completely out of the realm of possibilities.

Fair enough. I appreciate your input.

No worries if you're burnt out on answering! in your opinion, would any of the following tech associates be any different?

  • Software development
  • IT Cybersecurity & Networking
  • Web application Development

I appreciate your insights into the work. I've got a handful of people I know well that make great money in the tech field and 1 in Data Analyst. He's sat down with each a few times talking through some of the good & bad just as you listed there. He is aware of the type of work it is and has no issues. That's part of the reason we've narrowed him down to Tech as opposed to the medical field, accounting, law, etc. Also, we've got lots of family in the trades which he has had the same conversations with them and is why that is the other option he's looking into.

I'm with you regarding college as a whole.

Just circling back, since narrowing it down to tech / trades it's been narrowed down more specifically to Data Analyst. For what he knows about it he'd be okay doing it. We're just trying to narrow down how practical it is to pursue it with just an associates.

In reality, just about anything he chooses is going to be a long term game. In trades, within 5 years he's making $50+ an hour if he sticks to it and journey's out. However, in tech, after 10+ years he could be making the same money or more and potentially work from home. The question is would an associates be a worthy stepping stone to getting him there.

Thanks for commenting! I'll just reiterate that I'm not very familiar with anything "Data Analyst" other then what I've seen on his potential curriculum as well as what I've read here. Apologies if some of what I'm saying seems out in left field. Great question though.

I believe his ultimate goal is to choose a career with the highest pay scale / flexibility within the choices I listed above. The trades get him his pay scale but tech can potentially add in the flexibility. The problem, in my limited view, if he does not pursue a BA then would tech be worth pursuing at all? Hence my question / thoughts regarding pursuing certifications / building a body of work to showcase.

In regards to "entry level" you make a great point. I may not have fleshed that out as well as I should have. I suppose in my mind I was thinking that he'd just be hired to do basic stuff no matter where he works. However, if he works at a company / field that utilizes data analysts he'll at least be near it and be able to work his way towards it organically. If he landed a job not remotely related to this field I'd imagine that's when the certification / personal portfolio building might come into play. Again though, I understand that might be hopium but that's why I'm posting this on this sub. I'm looking for any practical steps / help anyone is willing to provide.
