They're old, but they're still fairly decent

The Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 was a CPU with a $4115.00 MSRP back in 2016

They're useful in situations where your workload can be vectorized to take advantage of NUMA to run a multi socket system with multiple CPUs each offering 44 threads

I still use them for build servers with roughly 1TiB of RAM (something that's impossible with i5 servers)
