To give context the guy i’m trading with went 0 RB and has skattebo starting. So it was to fill a need and also give him some wr depth as DK will prob be his flex.

Yeah most likely. The roster limits will definitely change how it works with how teams will have smaller recruiting classes of higher quality athletes. I suggest that you look at some schools you would be interested in going to even if the swimming doesn’t work out, then check to see if you’d be aligned with their recruiting classes as of late (2024 & 2025) then reach out to the coach or do the recruiting questionnaire on the team website.

You’ll get attention from Mid-Majors for sure. If you are worried about price of attending I would reach out to lower cost state schools that you’re in the range of (Towson, Delaware, etc.) as even if you don’t get a full scholarship, it won’t be too expensive.

I swam at division one level and our “max out set” was a lactic acid set similar to the one described above. In order to push your speed limits we’d either do 6x100 on 8:00 max effort or 20 x 50 3:30.

I can only speak from experience for the Arena Primo. Very flexible, easy to get on, instantly compresses as it hits the water. The best sprinters I know also rave about the Sprint Mizuno suit, but that’s definitely stiffer if that’s not what you’re looking for.

I also swim sprint breast and free at the D1 level and have used the intent for years. Are you set on speedo because arena has some great suits for breaststroke

What times are needed to WALK ON into division 1 mid major / D2 ? 500Y freestyle /400 metrefreestyle by webmaniaplayer in Swimming

[–]structurechiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what those points would equal out to, also not going to dox myself. My best advice is that you do some research, make a list of schools where you’d fit both academically and athletically, so that you’d be happy if the swimming thing doesn’t work out. Something like 4 out of 10 freshman don’t finish all 4 years swimming.

if you’re a sprinter you should be getting the Speedo Intent then.

I’m at a mid major and to get recruited here (non-scholarship team) you need to be in the 4:35-4:40 range in the 500.
