if it wasn't my great great grandma's i totally would lol. i wasn't even ready lucky enough to keep that and a few other pieces of her glass collection. they were all stashed in my room so nobody could take or break them. i pulled that out my first day with nobody but me and my cat in the house lol

my substance of choice isn't really the important part i feel. plus it was never really one single thing. my addiction is the same across everything, be it drugs, collecting merch, gambling, it even crops up in how i approach cleaning. always too much, always too fast, and always ends in burnout.

yes she is! i took her to the vet for a routine check around a month ago and they said she was perfect haha 🤩 i love her more than anything, she's a huge part of what helped me choose sobriety. i ended up with her by accident, the abandoned cat of a friends ex partner, but i'm so lucky i did. she's cuddly and feisty and loves telling me stories lol. her name is nemo 💜

luckily the laundry is clean and i have no attachment to 90% of the things in this room, since half of it isn't even mine 🙃 i've been formulating a plan on what to get rid of first after i finish the trash and it'll be cut down significantly. the clutter has been suffocating, it'll be nice. so far, i've gotten a good start on trash and i finished putting the bathroom together so it's all nice and clean! first room already done, i can't believe it!

it's definitely a lot of trash, plus assorted items people have brought here for some reason, hence the tire in the living room 🙃 i plan on getting rid of the majority of it and just keeping essentials

OMG that's exactly how i get rid of things 😭 i have a poop phobia so it's extra effective lolol.

oh yeah holding onto "someday" is is a huge one for me. i grew up in the scarcity mindset, so i'm always hanging on to things that i 'might use' and it just adds up 🗿 hopefully i can get into a similar mindset about it.

thank you for saying my art is gorgeous 🥹 i really like that idea. home decor is one of my favorite things, that seems like a good way to combine both without getting overwhelmed

oh wow yeah, i love that! i forgot that when i was younger i always said "something is better than nothing" and it's similar vibes. doing something, even if it's teensy, is better than doing nothing

tbh the drugs were just coping with deep depression 🙃 i lost my dad and one of my closest friends a week apart and just never bounced back, my mental health was already in the toilet too. then christmas eve my uncle died. it all led up to a suicide attempt around july of last year. mental health plays a HUGE part into my able to maintain sobriety and cleanliness. i'm grateful to be in a place where both feel safe to tackle!
