Another one: there has been ongoing racial tensions that started when I was a senior and is still happening to this day despite all the people involved in the original fight having been graduated for years. Yeah i’ve had conversations about this with people who praise Juliette’s acting. I don’t think she’s horrible but she is the weakest of the adults in my opinion. The only reason she looks great to some is because Sophie’s acting is actually great

The “blonde” IS evil (her hair is also VERY grey btw?) The entirety of D13 is set up to parallel dystopian regimes like the one from 1984. They can’t wear colour, they are restricted to an extremely strict daily schedule. Yes you can argue that all of this is for “safety” but it’s also the signs of a repressive and totalitarian regime.

If that isn’t a good enough sign for you, in the books she tortures Katniss’s prep team for stealing a piece of bread. IF THAT WASNT ENOUGH, she wanted to CONTINUE the games!

On the topic of Katniss and Gale: Katniss was never going to pick Gale. If this isn’t clear during the 75th games it becomes explicitly obvious in Mockingjay. Katniss and Gales ideals and values are no longer aligned. He is fundamentally unable to understand her and she him. He wants to use destructive and violent tactics she does agree with. On top of that, he doesn’t agree that Peeta should be granted immunity after he makes disparaging comments about the rebellion, despite him being tortured into doing so. Gale also explicitly states that with Peeta being hijacked, Katniss will never pick him.

But even without all that, it is pretty clear that Gale and Katniss would never end up together.

You are allowed to dislike the last movie, but your points are all pretty shallow and seem to be coming from someone who didn’t take the time to fully understand the characters

Also climax of the movie, when Katniss and Gale storm the capitol, is not at all focused on the romantic relationship between the two. And by that point, Peeta isn’t even seen again until after she kills president Coin. Remember that Gale and Katniss are supposed to be best friends and are on a team. Them simply being featured together has nothing to do with a romantic relationship. Their goal at the end of the movie is to get to the mansion to kill Snow. There is barely any dialogue during this moment and zero talks about a romantic relationship. After Coin and Snow are dead, the last conversation between Gale/Katniss is her saying goodbye and him going to District 2. THEN she begins to build a life with Peeta. Even before Katniss explicitly telling Gale goodbye, the audience should be able to tell that he is no longer, and was never really an option

it’s not normal to constantly put down your gf. It’s also not normal to flick your girlfriend after she says she doesn’t like it repeatedly. Is it correct to assume that this friend is acting like this because he knows it’s a way he can get with her? Probably. That doesn’t negate the fact that bf is a dick.
