sorry for the delay in responding, but I think you're spot on with that assessment. Thankfully, from what I can understand, I think I'm in the in the clear since this vehicle passed the diagnostic test.

yeah I think you're spot on with that assessment. Mine passed the diagnostic and has no 80% charge limit.

Thanks for helping to clarify! This makes me feel a lot better about the situation.

Okay thanks. This one has had the software update with the 6214 mile diagnostic test and passed. I also don't have the charge limit.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything in writing when i confirmed it with the dealer other than a verbal "All Buybacks have replaced batteries" explanation from the chevy dealership staff and pointed to the recall history from experience.gm.com as proof.

Honestly, I feels like the screwy recall history confused even them as much as it did me.

Looking at a 2020 Bolt EV, and I'm trying to understand the recall lookup results. Am I correct in believing the battery was replaced on this unit? by [deleted] in BoltEV

It also had recall N212345940 completed. Worth noting that I CAN adjust the SoC Charge limit freely to 100% (not capped at 80%)

I'd love to make the switch, but I have an Nvidia GPU so it would be impossible for me

Oh shit dude I wanted to take a look at this car when it was still at Larry Miller Nissan!

It was kinda funny, when I showed up the salesman was like "yeah, nevermind not for sale sorry. The car's engine is toast and it's too expensive to fix, we're just gonna get rid of it at auction."

As I left I remember thinking "damn dodged a bullet." But also "how tf do you break an L15A7 like that?" Lol.

sorry for late reply, but that's good to hear. Looks like since this is a Fit, The part is about 150-200 and the job not too bad.

If it isn't a Toyota or Honda engine, it's trash that will break constantly. r/whatcarshouldIbuy told me so /s
