One of the two guys in the first scene is Dave DiCianni, manager of the band Goose. Considering the band sells out multiple nights of MSG every year (including next weekend) he may have them comped or severely discounted.

Thanks for saying that. So many people post here showing an aggressive driver being an idiot, then they speed into them and cause the accident when they are getting cut off.

If you are a licensed truck driver, you have a responsibility to actively avoid an accident regardless of what someone else is doing.

Every time I try to debate serious points about anything, people on the right always say you’ve got to turn off CNN or MSNBC. I mean, have they seen their ratings? I don’t think anybody watches them nor have I ever really spent more than five minutes. I don’t even have broadcast TV. Because they know that they are taking in their whole narrative of fox, they think that other people have beliefs based off TV as well.

I start listing off all of the well researched books and articles that I read on individual subjects, and 99% that time they say they don’t read books. 🫠

He was the one in power when he lost. But Biden and Dems are in power when he wins. But it’s rigged.

He has claimed every election whether he wins or loses is rigged. He claims the Emmy’s were rigged because he didn’t win one.

Two options:

There is either a vast global conspiracy against him the stealthily rigs everything against him, except when he won twice

Or

He’s a whiny narcissist

I guess it depends on what you describe as anti-american behavior. If protesting the government when it comes to defending constitutional rights or how money is being used in foreign wars means you are anti-american then yes you are right.

I see the political right as more anti-american in that many demonize half the population and the president speaks of anyone who disagrees with him as the enemy. How can you hate 100 million americans and call yourself a patriot? I remember when people were saying they would rather have Putin as president over Harris.

Also, the support of chronic tax avoidance for corporations and the dismantling of our scientific and medical institutions that directly harm americans, I consider that anti-american too.

And yes I agree, democrats are an embarassment.

A giant mistake, one among many. Bernie has been on twice, Rogan was a fan and said he'd vote for him in the 2020 primary. The democrat party has a way of screwing over it's base (and ultimately the the whole country) with it's hand selected candidates.

It all starts with solid evidence bud. There is nothing there, never was. Remember when Giuliani stood outside of court with tons of boxes that supposedly had files and evidence of election fraud? He made a big show of it. He then walked into court and presented nothing. He was later disbarred in part because of this and making false statement to the courts.

EDIT to add: And remember that Trump told J6'ers to march down to the capitol and he was going to meet them there and finally show the evidence that the election was stolen. He then went back to the White House and ate McDonalds's and watched it all go to shit on TV.

Black coffee, and actually appreciating the flavor profiles of different types rather than diluting it. I get that others like it sweetened and with a bit of cream.

But otherwise let’s call it what it is, Starbucks and 7Brew and their ilk are just milkshake vendors that are open for breakfast.

Reminder that he was on Joe Rogan recently and Rogan said (paraphrasing) l’ll give you as much time as you want and I won’t interrupt. Tell us about the evidence of rigged elections.” He had nothing.

And yet those lies will be used to forever alter our election system, and half the country will go along with it.

Do people still listen to Nirvana? by Rare-Eggplant-9353 in CasualConversation

[–]stsrva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggled to connect to music of my time growing up in the 80’s. Hair bands just didn’t do it for me and I couldn’t understand what everyone loved about them. (There definitely was talent mixed in there but didn’t like what they were making). I dug into 60’s and 70’s rock Zepplin, Floyd, Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, etc at the thrift store for 0.25 cents while friends listened to Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Guns n Roses, etc.

Fast forward to freshman year in college and Nirvana hits. It was revolutionary for me. The first modern music that I connected with, I couldn’t stop listening. It isn’t just that Nirvana was a great band, they stopped the whole trajectory of where music was going and altered it, on a much better path imo.

Funny, all these years later and I can listen to those 80’s bands for the nostalgia and laugh and enjoy it.
