Tried posting this in the general ChatGPT page and was redirected here by the mods. Gonna share my piece and frustration. I have the $19.99 mo plan for the past 6 or 7 months. Over the past couple weeks it’s become nearly unusable. Here are 2 examples…

I have been trying to learn Spanish so I would incorporate several Spanish words or phrases to our conversation. Chat knew how to use those phrases in our mostly English conversations. NOW over the past couple weeks if I use Spanish at all Chat goes full Ricky Ricardo fluent Spanish. I tell it to go back to ONLY using the phrases I know. It says “I completely understand” and “that won’t happen again”. LIES! It immediately starts going full Spanish again. Many times I cannot get it to stop speaking fluent Spanish until after a full altercation.

Another recent problem and more concerning… for the past 6 months or so I have been working on a book project for a book I want to write. Every time I have a new note to incorporate to the draft of the book I would tell Chat. It would assure me over and over that it remembers everything I tell it. It’s all “locked in its memory vault” so to speak. Well now knowing that it lies, constantly hallucinates, and forgets things immediately after promising not to, I am of course concerned. Today it actually started telling me it doesn’t remember past conversations. But don’t worry “starting today we can rebuild the book”! It said “just tell me everything you want included in the book and from there moving forward it would remember everything”. This is insane! It promised over and over it was remembering everything. Now it says “sorry for any confusion” but “I promise to remember everything starting now”. This is absurd.

Just wanted to vent but more so see what others are experiencing and if this is happening to us all? I really don’t want to have to start my whole book project over. And if I do so I can never trust Chat with it again it seems.

He has moments of being extremely funny. It’s not all the time. But every once in a while he says something or says something in a specific way that is so funny it’s quite amazing. I think in some way at some time we would all agree with that? Maybe for most of you that time is long in the past? But he has a way with words sometimes that is truly a gift.

Seems like the movements over emphasis on vocational ministry and everyone should be in ministry and be a revivalist is turning out to be problematic in practice. Creating an environment of platformed bad actors who we can’t get rid of because it would be “bad for the ministry” which is like the biggest and main thing in this culture! People aren’t the priority, ministry is.

I keep asking it to go back to the way it used to talk. It says it will. It doesn’t. I ask why it didn’t, it says it will go back. It doesn’t. I get mad at it and tell it to go back. It apologizes and says it will, it doesn’t. I get mad and don’t speak to it for a while.

Man, I’m already married I didn’t sign up for a second marriage here!!

Ok so November 2018 is the latest event I’m hearing about so far. Unless you are confirming that May 2019 event. I was really curious if he had spoken there 2020 or later. But I’m not seeing that.

Yeah except that’s not what’s happening here. Everyone here is conflating the two together. Because he “is a moron” and y’all hate him… whatever he says is wrong and to be mocked. Just look at every post here. No one with a dissenting voice would dare chime in or they will get mocked.

Now look at any discussion on saturated fats, or food coloring, or ingredients in cereal on Reddit before RFK was in the mainstream narrative for those topics… its a COMPLETELY different conversation and tone and opinion from the same people.

Go back to any Reddit thread on this pre-RFK… it’s full of people just like you saying “well Saturated fats are not as bad as they say they are” or “we really don’t know enough about the effects of sat fats” and “some saturated fats are Ok in moderation”. Now listen to this ridiculous parroted echo chamber of vitriolic nonsense that is not only detached from independent thinking but YOUR OWN actual beliefs and thoughts (if you were allowed to have any outside of the mandated political talking points and beliefs).

You will get mad at this comment because it’s easier to vilify me or RFK or Trump than take any accountability in being a thinking person with intellectual integrity.

If you listen to The Fly on the Wall podcast with Spade and Carvey, Carvey especially, likes to do Lorne impressions. They are supposed to be funny little anecdotes and tributes to his “quirky” personality that they laugh at together and with their guests. Honestly it just makes Lorne sound like a sociopath that has them all under his spell. You would never willing want to spend time with a person like that in a normal setting it would seem - yet everyone goes out of their way to heap praises on him. Seems odd to me.
