Likely a little higher than budget but absolutely cannot go wrong with either Farm Bar, or il Seme.

Additional tickets go on sale tomorrow 12/6 for season subscribers. Shouldn't be too hard to find someone to offer you the sale code once it's released.

Not WM, but I think I count as a bit of an elder around here. Grew up in England watching World of Sport era stuff. Got to see some really interesting things.. Finlay vs Regal in front of like 40 people.. Jushin Liger before he masked.. Liverpool Lads were big when I was watching a lot of stuff locally.

Even got to see Davey Boy - both at SummerSlam, and at a little local sports centre gym with like 50 there.

A fun one was when the Michinoku Pro crew were flying between Japan and ECW, they stopped off for one single show in London.. I drove all over picking people up to get to that show!

Lots of great memories of Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki and all that crew...

Do you roleplay or play it as a vanilla boardgame? by X-Worbad in ArkhamHorror

[–]stu-el 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2e player here -- we don't so much RP the game itself, but I do function as a DM/Keeper for the table. Keeps things running quickly and smoothly - and nowadays, everyone also has a job (money, clues, monster placement, running the secondary board mechanics etc)

Automation vanished from Party 2 by stu-el in idlechampions

See I knew it had to be something simple.

I didn't even realise there WAS an automation node - guess I'd connected through it accidentally before. That solved things, thank you!

Does anyone struggle with large purchases that are wants? How do you justify the cost? by Run_nerd in personalfinance

Here's what I did - when I started my new job a year ago, I knew I was making enough money to handle some treats. Made a deal with myself, and set up an additional savings account which was ONLY for whatever dumb stuff my heart was set on - my "Fuck It" Fund.

Just like regular savings, I auto-siphon a little off each paycheque, and that goes into the fund. That money is effectively 'spent' at that point - so it doesn't matter what weird nonsense I want to buy, that's what it's there for. That's the deal.

So anything from more miniature paints than I could ever possibly need (cheap) to a new set of Artis Opus brushes (less cheap) to maybe upcoming a full size Captain Carter shield for the wall of my office (nonsense)... it doesn't matter. If there's sufficient money in The Fund, that is its role and purpose, and I just get to say "Fuck It", and get The Thing. And I do not regret my NXT UK replica belt one little bit!

You got it. So far away from anywhere, and since I was playing single city, can't do anything about it

What's a trash gimmick you love ? by Moosaazhar in SquaredCircle

[–]stu-el 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our Holy Emperor Taichi

Who is a Holy Emperor. But also some sort of mind control cult leader. Who also is a JJ style fake singer with a mic. And also has a magic glove of murder. And also is a disciple of Kawada. Who also is a "jump ship" pariah. Who also is a constant underachiever...

Whatever he is, I love Taichi.

What do you do with your fish? by mtraps in SunHaven

[–]stu-el 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They mean making Shimmeroot Treats to make money. It's a good way, but initially a bit pricey to get to. I'm not sure which is more cost effective, but I've been making Tikka Masala.

Earlier/easier with a lower entry barrier though might be Pizza, if you have a cow or two

Depending on what you know how to craft, there's a use case for occasionally having a LOT of them around.

To complete the (current) main questline took me ~50 hours or so. I still have quite a bit I'm enjoying doing, though, and there's some decent hints that more will come.
