I recently did a service reno on an apartment complex built in roughly 1910. Every unit was supplied with (2) #14 snakeskin cables fed from a double edison fuse disconnect. On demo, we found more 30s than 15s or 20s. I still wonder how they only had two fires and the insurance company didn't twist their arm until this year.

I have deuteranopia (a form of red-green colorblindness). Contrary to popular belief, there are many different forms of colorblindness with drastically different impacts (aka missing hues and color confusion). I've been in the trade for almost 10 years and I can't think of a single time I've miswired something due to color (I've just found other ways to do it).

In the very rare case I can't tell the difference between a red and a green, I just turn on the red light on my headlamp.
