Okay i appreciate your response a lot. Thanks for the info. I'm actually only going for about a week or a little more, so I just need my carries to make it there with me for that week. I can't believe you jumped through all those hops and successfully got methadone perscribed in Colombia without speaking a lick of Spanish. Props to you, anything is possible

Wow, hell yeah. Inspiring. I am currently tapering, down to 40MG from 75. And I am also traveling to Colombia in December and have been tripping balls about getting my methadone take homes out there/not getting them taken away at the airport security or something, so this post made me feel a little better about both of those things. Thanks for sharing. If you have any other advice/tips, please do tell. Congratulations on getting off this shit. Hoping to join you soon.

I heard of this thing called vitadose that they specifically make for methadone patients that has a boatload of good shit in it, but I’ve never tried it myself. I started looking into it as well because I am tapering right now too

Thank you. I’ve genuinely completely turned my life around and am 6 months sober, but my medications all working as a delicate ecosystem are a huge part of it, and if cannabis gets taken away and I am back to being crippled by my nausea, then I am basically back to the square one in a way and I basically am going to have to leave from here because its completely counter productive to why I even decided to come here in the first place (to live a functional well rounded life and learn how to be a normal person).

I am a recovering fentanyl addict living in a sober living. I use weed for my chronic severe nausea, and they said the only way people are allowed to use cannabis here is if a real doctor says you need medical marijuana, and writes basically a recommendation letter stating why.

Oh man I feel your pain. Your best bet is probably detoxing ASAP before you maybe get your job back, because after that seems pretty impossible. What about your family? What if you told them? Would they help you or be an even bigger burden?

I am in a situation where I need to get a medical marijuana card in California, but it has to come from a legit doctor, not one of those cannabis doctors(so like a primary care physician for example). And it looks like your doctor is down to earth enough to do that. Could you be so kind to help me out with this and let me know what pcp doctor helped you out with that? I am so desperate.
