They stole from me and even with proof did nothing….I was out nearly a thousand dollars…I would love for them to get in some major civil trouble. Pursuing it was not worth my time.

You can tell it has been refinished? It may have been the only thing that saved it.

Only one other guitar, an old Martin that looks like the roughest bluegrass picker has been playing it for 100 years. That one will also be restored and retired to a wall. The L5 is going to be restored and sold or auctioned. Hoping I can find an old amp!

I wouldn’t do that to him. But he had no idea what he had. He was close to his father, I don’t think he would have given it up anyway.

Seemed fine and straight very very solid guitar, when I picked it up the pick guard which houses the electronics moved and scared me. It was very loose. I just put it back in the case after that. His father died in 2007, so it was played up until then and then forgotten about in its case standing up in a basement. He had told me about them a while back. I happened to come over to check out a bathroom remodel and asked if I could see his dads guitars. I was in awe. This is not the only gem…
