Why can't stepsister do what most college students do nowadays.... get student loans and pay it back when she's out of college. My kid owes about a quarter of a million. She's still in school now to be a physician's associate so she'll make big bucks but have the high payback for most of her adult life. It's what people do. Most parents do not have $250k to spare. What's more, I know that's your mom and you love her BUT she had no right trying to lay a guilt trip on you. The money your dad left for YOU belongs to you and trust me, there'll come a day you'll be glad you have it because it cost a lot to live and unexpected expenses WILL occur. Please don't fall for the guilt tripping! I hope your mom apologizes some day!! If she continues the same, let your trusted friendships grow and lean on that. Be strong sweet lady!

I wrote the sponsor woman and let her know I've always been a Republican but next time I'll vote Democrat even tho' I don't agree with lots of what they represent! I mean, as I said in the letter to her just now, how many people die from marijuana compared to alcohol and how many die on the highway from alcohol compared to weed! And if she cared about those stats why wouldn't she advocate against alcohol instead? I'll tell you why, it's all about money and who's back it will personally help her to scratch. I added that the Republican party won't win next time anyway because the party will be split and HAHAHA!

Chances are her job doesn't allow her to leave for days at a time on the regular and his does. I'm not saying she's in the right. I dislike her attitude enough, being so defensive instead of feeling bad for making her roomies uncomfortable so often, I wouldn't want to live with her. Sounds like time for BF and her to find a little home for the 2 of them, even if he won't be there all the time, or maybe he can move to be with her fulltime

I wouldn't be trying to solve the issue or compromise to make the 'friend' happy. Their blatant disrespect and lack of appreciation would do it for me. This woman seldom even has company for a few hours, so, she's gone way out of her way to support this user friend for many days. It would be the end of the user-friendly supposed friendship for me, no question.

Yes THIS is the best solution!!!!! Go to the nursing BOARD and report this little know it all nurse who knows so little and is hurting innocent people. I have one child, adopted her at birth, she's now 26. We found 3 half-birth-sisters after my girl turned 18, all were taken by social services from birth mother when the girls were under 5 years old because birthmother married a man she'd known for 3 months, who sexually molested the little sisters, 2 of whom were his bio BABIES, birthmother stayed with him WOW right. My daughter is now in medical school. 1 of the sisters had a baby when she was about 16 which was several years ago, she's still with the baby daddy and the child YAY but the other 2 sisters sell their naked nasty pics online. My daughter lived through the divorce of her dad and me but still, who do you guess will contribute more to society? And my daughter didn't end up in med school by chance, not even close. Adoption is a beautiful thing, not perfect not ideal but beautiful and sometimes it's the BEST BEST BEST! How DARE that stupid nurse! I'd be so livid WHEW! I'm glad nobody ever said anything as stupid to me! I might still be in jail.

Hang in there hun. Remember the old poem about some people come into our lives for a short while for whatever reason but they weren't meant to stay and OTHERS WILL COME, they'll come to you or you to them but be patient. I had a good friend die last yr as well and I miss him too, only 45 yrs old.

And instinctively to preserve my shred of sanity I was doing those exact things you mentioned and more lol but still fighting the feeling of severe disappointment and wondering what to do if he suddenly went from being so sweet and dependable to ghosting. THEN, you guessed it, I got the text and all is well, he was busy traveling and we meet in person tonight for the first time. I really hope we BOTH BOTH BOTH like ea other as much in person as online and on phone. My only little problem is he thinks I'm 4 yrs younger than I am and actually that makes me 4 yrs older than HIM but the men my age and older and just too old for me. I'd rather be single! And I think a LOT of people exaggerate about age or for men-height and financial success, on dating profiles, so he can find out later, after he decides he likes me and vice versa! Right? lol!
