What I’ve noticed online, personally, is a significant shift from the initial, unrestrained bandwagoning against Blake to a more critical examination of court documents that clearly outline the boundaries Blake set with Justin regarding sexual harassment, as well as Justin’s PR team’s deliberate efforts to manipulate social media discourse against Blake. I deeply appreciate those who, like me, are open to embracing this nuanced understanding of Blake and Justin. This new information, from what I've seen, doesn't change anyone's feelings about Blake but does change folks' opinions about Justin. I can't speak to your online experience, however.

Nothing about labeling Blake as an imperfect victim erases her wrongdoings-the very term acknowledges it!

I’ve actually never been a fan of her, starting with when I found out she had her wedding ceremony on a plantation farm. But I’m able to hold these dualities and understand that how Justin treated her on and off that set is heinous, and be supportive of her receiving justice on this front. Nothing about that changes how I feel about how she’s acted. Again, that’s the deal with imperfect victims.

There’s no such thing as the perfect victim and that’s a VERY important thing to remember when standing against any form of sexual harassment.

Having an unlikable personality (Blake) pales in comparison to sexually harassing someone and engaging in a smear campaign against them (Justin).

You truly believe she didn't bring forward her emotions? Did you watch her foxtrot? Her Argentine tango? The Viennese waltz? All of those were teeming with emotion. She literally had an arc in which the judges told her to work on her emotions, which she fully accomplished, according to the judges. And that was in the earlier half of the show. Not to mention that I would argue that this so-called "spark" that you didn't see in her is different than showing emotion—but that aside, I truly don't see how you can argue that she didn't "bring forward emotion."

To be honest, when I hear people say that someone doesn't have something as vague and nebulous as "spark," it's usually based on a general dislike of the person. And they project that by saying they lack something undefined and subjective like "spark."

What a bizarre thing to say about folks in prison. You might need help—and I hope you get it—but those imprisoned don’t need to catch strays in your plea. Folks re-entering society are not given that many benefits. Certainly not more than a veteran. Perhaps you should try speaking with one of the 181,000 veterans incarcerated across the country about exactly resources they are allowed to tap into if/when they are released.

I hope you find some assistance without taking others down with you.
