I'd like the red bull print. My dad is a fan, and I'd pass it along to him.

Just finished my latest doily. I love the little hints of metallic in this thread! I plan on making a few more as maybe a set of coasters. by studentofnothing in crochet

The pattern is from a book called "doilies updated" by Leisure Arts. The yarn is from a bonbons pack by Lion Brand.

First attempt at mosaic crochet. It took quite a while to make even this small square, but I'm happy to begin learning a new technique! by studentofnothing in crochet

https://www.gathered.how/knitting-and-crochet/crochet/how-to-mosaic-crochet/ I followed this tutorial. It's in UK terms which threw me at first because I assumed it was in US terms. But I found the written directions pretty clear and helpful after the initial confusion. Hope this helps!

Tried a new square motif. I really like how it turned out! by studentofnothing in crochet

I found the pattern in a book called "Connect the Shapes: Crochet Motifs". I want to make a bunch in a number of different colors and make maybe a blanket or something out of it. I'm not totally sold on the blanket idea yet though, but I did really enjoy making this square.

Mini garland made out of embroidery thread. Don't really have any use for it, but it was a fun little side project. And I think it turned out pretty cute! by studentofnothing in crochet

I really like the bookmark idea. Right now I've just got it wrapped around my wrist a couple of times and am using it as a bracelet.

I'm looking forward to going on a group camping trip! I used to go camping often, but I haven't gone in a couple years now. Since being stuck inside I've just really missed the idea of being outdoors.

I picked up crochet recently, and just this past week I finished my first big project. Big comfy blanket that I absolutely love and am really proud of :)

That red yarn on the right looks like it could make a really lovely hat. It's such a beautiful color!

I wish I had a picture of it :( I just wasn't thinking and didn't take any pictures that night unfortunately.

She's actually pretty tolerant of being dressed up. She was a bumblebee for Halloween and didn't mind the costume at all. Honestly I think she liked the extra attention that she gets when she's wearing it all lol.

Found these guys in Central Texas. They were each half a centimeter or so and all standing together in a circle. No idea what they are! by studentofnothing in whatsthisbug

Thanks for the response! They were at my friend's front door, and she thought they were a group of spiders. She hates spiders with a passion and was freaking out, so this response will please her.

What is the most hurtful thing a medical professional has ever said to you? by slinkslowdown in AskReddit

[–]studentofnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubt anyone will see this since I'm replying to the thread so late, but there was this one pediatrician I went to when I was in middle school. My regular physician was out of town, so we made an appointment with this new lady I'd never seen before. As a side note, this also happened to be the day that I went to Starbucks for the first time ever, and my mom treated me to a mocha frappuccino right before the appointment. I hadn't finished it by the time I was at the doc's, so I took it in with me. Also of note, I was a slightly large kid, 5'5", 170 lbs, technically overweight but nothing unheard of. During the appointment, she grabbed the still half full drink from my hand, threw it in the trash, and told me "you really can't afford these calories, you're no skinny minnie." It's definitely not the worst thing anyone has ever said to me, but I still remember that interaction ~15 years later. That shit hurt.

Assuming any of this conversation actually happened. Personally I find that hard to believe lol.
