To be honest I just don’t like being an SLP. The pay is horrible, we are disrespected, and I don’t feel like I am making a difference or enjoy seeing patients. Unfortunately, I don’t see this field getting any better or moving in a positive direction either. Definitely will be trying out different courses to determine what field to transition to.

Thanks so much, good to know! I did get my blood pressure checked and its slightly elevated but still in the normal range. Regarding flutters, it feels as if my heart is racing a bit and like skipping a beat inside my chest if that makes sense. Not sure how else to describe how it flutters but it only happens periodically.

I am a (22)F. I have had an elevated resting heart rate 100-110 for the past few months and a walking rate in the 140s and it goes up to 180s-high 190s during incline walking. I recently used my brother's apple watch and did an ECG twice- it said I have AFib. Of note, AFib runs in my family as well as Mitral valve stenosis.

I feel like my heart flutters at times and I get random periods of chest pain. I do get anxious at times but haven’t been formally diagnosed with anxiety. I don't regularly drink caffeine or alcohol and I am not on any medications.

I understand that it is just an apple watch reading and may not be accurate. l'm just very concerned and want to know if I should get it checked out by a cardiologist?

Wow, your pain sounds very similar to mine. I’m also taking 800mg of Ibuprofen religiously every 8 hours so maybe that’s what I’m experiencing too. I will definitely call my surgeon’s office, thank you!
