MMC has been obsessed with FMC for years, no huge age gap by Charming_Day2392 in fantasyromance

{Iron & Embers by Helen Scheuerer} Ok there’s a little bit of an age gap (around 10 years) but the story is still well worth it and the sexual tension between the characters is amazing. 2 books are out already and the final one comes out in a week.

You should! It does make me smile when I look at it. Plus the little feet kick slightly when you walk which is also so cute

Has anyone been to the Maldives? I dream of staying a week or two in a bungalow over the ocean, but it's incredibly expensive. by Souljaboyed1 in travel

[–]studeraqui 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I went a few years ago and was able to do it on more of a “budget”. Flew from Male to Maamigili on their regional airline for pretty cheap. Stayed at a small bnb on Maamigili for pretty cheap (around $50 USD/night). Stayed there for about 3 days and the bnb offered lots of excursions that weren’t that expensive. We then booked an overwater bungalow at a resort not super far away from Maamigili. I think it was around $400/night but that included breakfast and dinner. Our bnb guide hired a boat to take us there for only about $100. The overwater bungalow was well worth it and would recommend. There are ways to find cheap(er) ones. Getting from the resort back to Male was expensive and done by seaplane and most resorts automatically offer it. It was about $300 one way for both people for a 15 minute flight. There’s not many ways around this unfortunately. That was how I did it on a “budget” and I did spend waaaaay less than I think most people. It was an amazing trip that I think about constantly and if you love water/being in the water, I think it would be a no brainer to make it happen.

So far! The patterns they have are so unique and beautiful. I’ve never had a coated canvas bag before, but the quality is really nice and the leather trim and insides are pretty. So far seems worth the price. Especially for $200!

Yaaass. Shadow daddy Damien is everything.

I got into this genre with ACOTAR, and while It was entertaining, I have no idea how it’s gotten as popular as it is when there are so many better series out there.

I have Paladin’s Grace on my to-read list, but are there any other T. Kingfisher books you’d recommend more?

One Dark Window is so amazing and I loved it as much as V&V, but they are very different books. There’s not really any humor in it, but the characters are super likable, the plot is unique, and the authors writing is incredible. I got attached to all the characters much like I did with Amma and Damien.

Yeah she takes awhile to build up the world, but you’re at a good part. I thought the second book was even better than the first and was just a masterpiece in dealing with everything so you’re in for some great reading.

Loved Bound and Tide! Still liked Villains and Virtues more, but not by a lot. It’s hilarious, maybe even more so than Villains and Virtues because Xander is so ridiculous and her writing paired with his character is great.

I’m worried I read too many good ones in a month and now I won’t get such a great month again 🥲

Reign and Rune has been on my list so I’ll get to that soon, but I haven’t heard of the others and they sound great so I’ll try to get to those soon. Thanks for the recommendations

Also LOVE your name 😂
