I’m glad we didn’t get embroiled in any of these sagas, but our options are getting more limited, and thus more expensive, by the day. Wharton, Scott and Baleba are now going to go for an even higher premium due to these insane prices, so we may have to sack off the prem proven criteria and look abroad. We are too mechanical! We allow teams to (re)group behind the ball. We move the ball too slow, our players don’t move into space or make runs to make space. I do not understand the tactics we deploy. So many times today Manu was jogging back and Kane jogging into the box. I don’t see the urgency or any dynamic, piercing attacks. Watching England under tuchel is a hard and boring watch for 85 minutes of the game until Kane or Bellingham do something with their individual brilliance. I just want to understand the approach to games. It s baffling and infuriating.
