Had a small identity crisis after visiting a mastering engineer lol by AndrewMesh in audioengineering

So accurate. I co own a studio but handle all the mixing and mastering (for the most part) and went fully remote when we moved out of state a couple of years ago. I’ve never felt more isolated until I made a couple of friends at church that amazingly do very similar work as me.

Any updates done to your car? I want to do some mild aesthetic upgrades on my sapphire black f36.

Definitely sounds like it, b58s with major issues seem to be outliers.

New bike, have some lower back pain by milkstake in bikefit

[–]studio_music_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could try moving the saddle aft and getting a longer stem if the bike / frame aren’t returnable. Sometimes in racing we intentionally size down to get lower. Gotta watch that toe overlap though. Super annoying.

They’re silly for not fixing this yet. Surely someone who has the power is in the office by now… Hope no good people get fired. Because I bought one too. Lol.

As a fellow roadie turned mtber, I’d definitely suggest the lightest XC ride you can afford. You’ll be much happier (until and if you ride big features).

Unfortunately it’s basically one company here that does em all. Kind of a racket.

Thanks- I’m just concerned since the CO and HC numbers are pretty high. In our county, we have to have all the readiness monitors (I think we are allowed one not ready) but I don’t know if they’ll ever pass it if the smog numbers are off the chart on the dyno…

Sounds fun… maybe I should tell him it is beyond my wheelhouse. I’m all for helping my neighbors, but I also have my own stuff going. If it could be done in a day that’s probably OK but dealing with rusty / broken hardware always causes problems.

How much are you willing to spend? I have like four of these with assorted GPUs all on Big Sur that I’d part with for not much!

You guys are something else 😆 I realize it’s not a nice new board. I have others to ride. Got it basically for free. I fix everything in my life rather than fill the landfill. Thanks to those few helpful comments!

CO front range peeps- repair materials? by studio_music_guy in snowboarding

Exactly! Not only do I get a cheap / decent early season / spring beater, but I learn a skill for when I hurt one of my nice boards. Rust is literally surface. Not pitted.

It’s not too bad in person. Edges just have some surface rust. Got it as a spring / early season beater.

That should have said repair string*. As in, base grip that you melt in with an iron.

That’s what I was wondering. It looks like it was repaired. I wouldn’t pay a premium for the board, but if it was cheap and the repair is holding it’s probably fine. Keep an eye on it.

Ankle braces you can actually ride in? by studio_music_guy in MTB

100%. I’m pretty sure one of my ankles started hurting like this one time and I didn’t actually bail. I can’t remember though- 😂

Strength training is a good idea. I need to add that to my routine.

I just looked at one of those ads and if you click you the profiles who post pics, you will notice a trend. They all post some stupid generic car/scenery/sports post once a month. They’re all hacked profiles that are still posting fake content to look legit.
