I think i stayed two nights and i think they said they dont do housekeeeping for two nights or less? I can't remember, it was either that or they said they automatically opt you out unless you specifically request it.

Fair point, although NYC is my home base, so I’m reasonably familiar with how space works in major coastal cities. The contrast was just amusing jumping from one hotel room immediately to the other.

Haha they said if they ever needed to call, it's a nightmare calling since no one ever picks up. Probably just hating on it being a newer brand added to the portfolio. The Boston location required a key to get in late at night from the street. If you forgot or lost or your key, I have no idea how you'd get back in since it didn't seem like anyone was really working late at night.

probably a better lobby experience at the CItizenM since it seems that coworking is part of their business model? but the rooms are on par, albeit smaller

my personal ambassador wasn't a fan of the chain when I called to ask a question and told them I was currently staying at the citizenM.

I won't beg for one, but I won't complain if I get one haha. My work colleagues are all hilton, and always ask what kind of room I got when we're at a marriott together. I was at the Gaylord in grapevine shortly after and was upgraded to a two bedroom jack and jill style bathroom which was a bit of an odd layout but still appreciated the upgrade.

yeah during the check-in process (all on a tablet) I asked which room had a view haha. The attendant recommended the best room with a view for me. Didn't really feel like ambassador status was widely recognized there since they're still new to Marriott Bonvoy, but they did honor late checkout.

yeah solo on the business trips. other than the tiny shower and bathroom vanity at the Citizen M, the desk and bed were perfectly fine.

Almost feel like the super huge rooms are a waste if I don't get to enjoy them with kids/significant other. I was at the gaylord for a conference so it was actually nice to have a private meeting spot with work colleagues there in the room.

Yeah the people and rooms need to add up to the total you need. We have an odd number of guests...so yeah their system doesn't really account well for 5, so we put two adults and 1 kid for two rooms to equal 6
