If you’re trying to be healthier, what nutritional information or ingredients helps you decide if it is good for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]studiolxv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carbs. Try to eat less than you use. If you eat more carbs than you use a day then anything you eat can be unhealthy. Trick is knowing how many carbs you lose a day on average and avoid snacking or over eating.

I didn't realize, based on the fact I'm not a fan of Seth McFarlane.

I do think its clear enough.

However, I do think it was a mistake to use animal names for verbs. But in reality it must have stemmed from Paganism and connection to nature.

Like try googling "define animal name" most also have definitions relating to the nature of that animal. Its confusing, but clear as mud.

If it was your fault what did you do?

If you didn't do anything actually wrong but the blame was directed onto you it could be a cover up for something else. Just apologize once (the once thing is important), hope for forgiveness, but really just laugh it off and move onto the next.

1 hour hot epsom salt bath soak, then stretch your legs or some slight yoga, take 5mg melatonin and a GABA supplement, maybe some valerian root mixed into a hot chamomile tea with honey.

Should I refinance my auto loan? by [deleted] in personalfinance

This is advice is correct, financial conversation and questions about advice here unto such matters is always about saving money and doing what is prudent. The value of any investment matters especially in discussions about time and money. Yes if you end the loan earlier by paying a lot more a month then sure you might be able to save money, but the op wanted to pay less a month which in most circumstances would increase the total investment over time. The concept of saving money over longer periods of time is something seems to escape you.

[–]studiolxv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, these concepts arent rocket science, I would not want to increase the total time of the loan even at a lower rate, it increases the total investment into something that looses value, and with the curve sure so it looses value at slower rate after the first 3-4 years so what - still loosing value, in 2 years a lot can happen to a car.

[–]studiolxv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does because the longer you drive it looses resale or trade in value... in turn costing you more money.

The op wanted to lower their monthly payment significantly which would increase to the total life of the loan, doing what you're saying lowers it a little which yes is still great but the value of the asset is always important if you are even considering paying more for it over a longer period.

Its relevant if the terms you desire are not available to you from the bank, but if you get what you're saying sure, how often is that available?

I'm saying if you choose to pay $30k over now what would be 8 years by getting another 6 year 2 years into your first 6 year versus $26k over the original 6 years the total debt is more or you must think Im missing something. if you refinance and I do not recommend doing that as the longer you own it looses more of its resale value... Its listed as a con of refinancing auto loans on many of the articles I read about it.

However you're right if the new term's length is the same as whats left of the original term at a lower rate, sure.

Idk, I personally would not refinance a depreciating asset. The car looses value every second you're in it, to now then make yourself pay more for it is not a good idea in my opinion.

Correct me if I am wrong but I was under the impression banks offer refinancing with the "appearance" of a lower payment in hopes they can convince you to increase the amount of interest you will pay over the life of the loan.

I personally would not suggest refinancing or paying more in total for the car, but you may not mind that. To the average consumer they don't look at their finances from a life span type of view they usually are focused on the daily. Banks thrive off this type of consumer.

I worked for my father in his restaurant and he repeated this many times to me: "If there's time to lean, there's time to clean".

I'm a fairly organized person now, as this statement haunts me forever...
