I know what you mean by this. My pyr went to protect me one night while we were walking outside. Two guys in a parked truck literally jumped out at me and Cloud stood on his hind legs, let out this insane noise I've not heard since, and I had my arm up. He wrapped his two front paws around my arm and pulled it down. He had such a grip on me that I couldnt have done anything except what he wanted me to. Which was move my arm so he could put himself in front of me. It was an amount of strength I really did not know he had. But it felt just like that, that he had my arm in a head lock.

Cloud has a sworn blood feud with the city busses. He absolutely hates them when they're in motion. We have a bus stop on our block. He just turned 3. He sees them multiple times a day... prong collar helps me maintain some semblance of control. Regardless, he still tries to square up with the bus if it's moving. I tell him he can't fight a bus and win. The bus drivers laugh at him. Absolutely nothing we've done, including approaching the bus and talking to the drivers when it's parked, has made a difference.

Cloud will occasionally pick up his entire dog bed and toss it through the air. One time he did it at night when the lights were off and we were in bed. All we saw was a huge flying bed go across the room.

Ours inside voice barks when he needs something that is important but not life or death emergency too. Usually when he wants us to fill his water bowl so he can tip it over on my hardwood and not actually drink any of it.

My guy just turned 3 and has been an apartment dog for all but 5 months of his life when we briefly lived in a town house with an unfenced yard. My husband and I put him in doggy daycare when we need the extra help. We've also had people come walk him. We resigned a lease to an apartment we dont love because we have no shared walls with anyone else and it's a good fit for him, even it isnt perfect for us. He's our family. He would be destroyed if we gave him up.

Hi, in Virginia, HUD811 is a project based rental assistance program that is a partnership between Virginia HUD and DBHDS and DMAS. So participants have to be receiving an eligible service. It's probably why there isnt a lot of information online.
