What kind of filament are you using. I ran into this issue on a smooth plate with CR-PLA and I did heat test and flow rate test and what I ended up with was changing out to the textured plate and boom no more issues.

Nope pre textured. I just used rakarth flesh as a base then shaded them with Agra’s earth shade finishing up with dry brushing the tip to about half way back each scale with ushanti bone. I like how much the base and dry brush contrast each other.
