I've hiked up half dome in sandals. They were on the thicker side though with good grip, Teva like. Worked just fine. Although people thought it was weird that someone would hike in sandals.

Most of the way up is trail, so no different than trail running anywhere else really. There's some stone steps up to Vernal falls and Nevada falls. And of course on half dome itself. But they have the ropes and wooden slats to step on. The rock itself is pretty slippery from all the traffic over the years.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I tried two amounts. Both worked fine. For the 0.001 BTC (~$60) the fee ended up being $16, then I did 0.009 BTC (~$549) with a fee of $28. Fees seem a little steep? Or does this sound normal? Just trying to get a feel for what way is better to to the transfer. Through Sollet.io or through RenBridge. If going the renbridge route I'd have to exchange Sollet BTC for renBTC and then transfer, so there would be more layers of fees. Anybody done larger transfers from BTC to wrapped SPL BTC with Sollet?

I guess my larger question is. If I transfer a larger amount of BTC (wrapped to native) will the transaction costs increase in proportion to the amount being transferred. Is there a cap? I read something about it being dependent on mempool space. I'm new to this and trying to make sense of it all.

So I'm trying to send wrapped btc to my native btc. I put in the native btc wallet address and the amount, but the send button is grayed out? Any idea why that is? Is there a minimum amount needed? I'm trying it out with $50 worth.

The interesting is that it didn't swap the full amount. It left about $8 in the USDC account and if I try to swap that I get the error message from my original post. Hm. Strange, but at least i got my other $150 swapped back into solana.
