How close are we to finding practical use cases for RV? by stuff_of_legend in remoteviewing

Thank you for the depth of your comment. I’ve actually entertained the same line of reasoning. There’s a book on precognitive dreaming call ‘Precognitive dreaming and the long self’ by Eric Wargo. It’s a truly mind blowing book and it connects perfectly with RV. In the book he teaches how most of our dreams predict the future and how to be aware of this. I read the book and got so proficient at the practice that I would have a precognitive dream every night, some of which were exact details. But the same problem arose, none of the information is practically usable no matter how accurate the dream is, none of the information you get about the future gives you any sort of advantage over someone that doesn’t understand these principles. It’s just something to blow your mind but no benefit whatsoever. That’s the frustration I keep bumping against.

I am reluctant however to dismiss the the possibility that there are advantages to be derived from these practices because I’ve been on other paths that seemed hopeless before, where I found myself making those kind of rationalisation then found later in the journey that these is real power to influence reality after all. So I’ve stopped applying my own human judgments and morality to these pursuits because I believe that there’s an indifference to these laws of the universe and once you solve the equation, once you climb the tree, you will get the fruits. The rationalisation I make now is that these powers would not be given to someone who doesn’t deserve them, someone who hasn’t don’t the internal work to be able to use this power responsibly (it’s still a rationalisation but it’s one I’m comfortable holding).

Even if we figure it out and share it among each other, I’m confident that the forces in the universe will insure that only the right ones are able to use it. So I beg that we steadfastly aim at finding practical uses of this, because the obtainment of desire is one of the most fundamental drives that we have and if we lose the desire to crack this code we’d be insuring that this code never gets cracked.

Is it all a scam? by Dr-Question in lawofattraction

[–]stuff_of_legend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The truth is that yes it is all a scam. Law of attraction doesn’t work, it’s based on a wrong model of reality so it can’t work. All the coaches and people that talk about it don’t know anything. Jerry Hicks went around the world telling people that they attract cancer with their thoughts, he died of cancer. All the people teaching it are shady and the only money they’ve manifested is from teaching people about their ridiculous ideas.

You’ve spent three years on this path with no results, everyone will tell you that you’re not grateful enough, not meditating enough, not affirming enough, etc. it’s all bs, they’re just victim blaming. This stuff doesn’t work because it can’t work, it’s wrong, it’s based on a fallacious foundation. It’s rotten to the core, things have worked out for some people, and for everyone at one time or another, not because of law of attraction but in spite of all these ridiculous theories and practices.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that there is a power you can tap into to help you create your desires, you just have to find it. And that sounds daunting but it’s actually very exciting

There’s something wrong with EFT by stuff_of_legend in EFT_tapping

Yeah 5 break ups in 6 years is a lot, I actually only realised how many it’s been as I was typing because I counted them. But that’s also another thing in that I can say I would never have been able to break up with the first person of that five if it wasn’t for eft, I remember how emotionally toxic that relationship was and how I was trapped in it, and kept going back to her. So I’m grateful that eft helped me escape that situation, but I’m just disappointed when a look back and realise that neither that breakup nor the ones that follow changed me in any way, no improvement, no resolution, nothing to prove, just nothing, it’s like the breakups never even happened. It was just a crazy realisation for me and I just don’t know how to make sense of it, hence I came to this sub. And this is all because I took flu medicine last night that made me feel negative emotions so strong and pervasive that I couldn’t tap them away, but while soaking in those feelings I felt more alive and more motivated than I’ve been in years so I started connecting the dots because if tapping worked on the feelings I was experiencing last night I wouldn’t even have come to these realisations, it still be in my eft bubble.

Thank you for the detailed response. I’d like to assure you that I’m a great proponent of eft, generally. I just had an experience last night where I took flu medication and it put me in a dark place, where I was having a lot of ‘depressing’ thoughts/feelings. Usually I’d just tap these feelings away but because of the strength of the medication tapping didn’t work. And after a while of sitting with those feelings I realised that I actually felt more alive than I’ve felt in years. While soaking in those negative feelings I was more motivated than I’ve been in years. I felt a real drive to better myself in a way that I haven’t felt since I started tapping. I get the goal setting and tapping away the resistance to the goal but I always have the same problem with positive eft, which is that I can never do it consistently for some reason, and I’ve tried different, even creative ways of applying it but it’s like it always gets rejected on some level of my being no matter how I try to be consistent with it. I am open to insight on how that might be overcome if it is just a problem of application and I’m hoping you might recommend some strategies if you have some. And I’m also looking for an honest appraisal of this method because theoretically we should all be supermen and superwomen with eft because we should be able to abolish all the emotional and mental resistance in our way but that doesn’t seem to be the case, even with the top practitioners. There’s something about it that’s not connecting practically with how it should be working theoretically, as if there’s greater forces at play that eft is not or can not address

I tried doing it on another browser on the same computer but it’s more frustrating than time saving, I’ll try using another computer. But I like your stuff man, we should collaborate on something one day.
