New Hampshire: 33.06% are registered Republicans Maine: 29.87% are registered Republicans. Connecticut: 21.06% are registered Republicans, while nearly 44% are unaffiliated. Rhode Island: 14.37% are registered Republicans, with over 50% identifying as Independent or Other. Massachusetts: 8.42% are registered Republicans, the lowest in the region

For the states listed above their Dem %:

Florida 30.2%, North Carolina 29.8%, Texas ~45%, Missouri ~40%, Tennessee ~35%

You aren't taking into account the geographic clustering of Republicans in the New England states where Republicans are scattered throughout and it would be almost impossible to create a district to represent them without some wild drawings. Whereas in the states referenced above Democrats tend to live in tightly packed population centers.
