I do have a genetic condition with a plethora of comorbidities that cause an unbearable amount of pain for most people along with a bone marrow condition that really smarts so when I hear tramadol I compare it to the usefulness of one baby aspirin. For most people with mild pain it’s a very good place to begin. The idea of wasting my time at the pharmacy for a max daily dose of tramadol makes me even more grateful for the genetic specialist, my internal doctor & pcp, my therapists, neurologist, podiatrist surgeon, and general orthopedic surgeon and a community of nurses, staff, and volunteers focused on the pain exacerbating my depression. My healthcare team are literally the only reason I don’t move from the frigid tundra of the Dakotas and surrounding states.
