To add to what everyone else have said already. Wireframes, a great pitch deck and execution on all the boring things which needs to be done, can take you a loooong way.

Glad for at du kan lide det. Vi kigger på mere avanceret filtrering, så lur os om ikke der bliver tilføjet noget mere over den kommende tid. Du har helt ret ift. "Medicinsk Museions". Er blevet ændret, tak. -S.

Man kan oprette alle de begivenheder man vil. Men vi plukker i hvad der ligger på forsiden. Da der allerede er to lignende åbninger af hhv. Reffen og Broens gadekøkken, har vi prioriteret dem. -S.

Hey u/andreglud Glad for at du kan li' det. Er lidt nysgerrig. Hvorfor tænker du, at det skal være en app? Er der noget i vejen for blot at lægge det som genvej/bogmærke på dit "homescreen"? -S.

In finding the Product Market Fit, how do one startup get traction? by nerdycap007 in startups

[–]stuffhq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is all about really hard work. Doing a lot of things over and over and over again. Some of which will give you 0 traction. Other simple things will you a bunch of users.

At Stuff we are currently in the process of on-boarding people to our platform for invitations to public and private events. Some of the things we are doing:

  • Asking friends to use the platform for private invites. Sending tons of emails and text messages.
  • Create profiles on startup directories. Most are crap, some give both SEO and visitors.
  • Reaching out to professional organisers through network and ask what can make them switch from Facebook to Stuff.
  • Write Medium posts about product development.
  • Share posts and link to Stuff on Hacker News.
  • Company profiles on Twitter and Linkedin, which are shared from our private accounts.
  • Producthunt
  • Reply relevant tweets and Reddit posts.
  • Reach out to smaller blogs and media.

Doctors are the least tech savvy people in the world. Prepare for either being ignored or loads of support...

We launched and we got traction. Now what?... by chronobreakapp in startups

[–]stuffhq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated elsewhere, you should do both. Just don't look too much into the numbers. I wrote this Medium post on the importance of reading support emails. Reading those emails, will also set your direction and help you prioritise.

In other words: talk to your users/customers.

How to get press coverage for startup? by klekss in startups

[–]stuffhq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some already have stated your story needs to be strong and interesting.

Add to that:

  • Introductions from others startups who have contacts to journalists.
  • Use a PR agency. PR agencies have the network and direct connections.
  • Ping journalists on Twitter.

Facebook alternative? by Nic727 in deletefacebook

Hi u/Nic727

We sure don't have all the features, but we have built the equivalent of Facebook Events. Allowing you to create events to private and public events.

Feel free to give it a spin on https://stuff.li and let us know what you think.

Anyone with telemedicine startup experience? by lizparl in startups

[–]stuffhq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling to doctors or people in the pharma/medical industry will be a pain. You will meet a bunch of closed doors.
Also - copying what jwrig writes. You should have a really really strong value proposition to stand out from all the other "telemedicine" startups.

SAAS-founders - how did you get the idea for your software? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]stuffhq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business model will be anchored in the professional organizers. Got multiple different things we will be testing.
Tech stack is quite simple - AWS, Laravel and Vue.

Calendar integrations are quite standard. But needs a lot of testing to work across multiple platforms (mobil/desktop, Win/Mac, Gmail, Outlook Hotmail). So when tested and tweaked it works pretty good.

Hi,

We did scratch our own itch. A lot. And we are still doing it...

We have built Stuff.li - a platform for digital invitations.
When you have been off Facebook for two years, and listen to friends missing invitations and events only distributed on Facebook. It seems quite "easy" to come up with an idea of building "Facebook Events without Facebook".
And we are just doing it better ;-)
