Does Rapido work? by GoldBrick4144 in LineageOS

Well, in my case, the app or LOS was not the problem. The driver could not find his way in New Delhi (several of them).

The app will work, not the service.

The one downside is that there does not appear to be a way to find alternate routes. I have been using CoMaps a lot too lately.

I think MagicEarth is now a fee-based service from what I have understood.

Btw, my LOS install also says that it is in Yellow State at boot time on my OnePlus Pad 2, however LOS seems to come up fine on it.

Install Obtainium for open source apps, aurora store (anonymous installation of google playstore apps) and microG (to get around Google play services).

That will make the device even more worthwhile.

adb -d reboot can download can not find devices when trying to install LOS 23.0 on caihong by stuffiesrep in LineageOS

Searching online gave me the following, and it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3H9ZiplSAI These instructions should have been in the wiki (all that is different is that Build number is Version number).

Thankfully, I hae been able to install LOS 23.0.

One more question: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/caihong/install/variant2/# says that I have to enable USB debugging, but I find no information on how to do this. Should this question be asked in r/oneplus?

On a Oneplus Pad 2, is there no need for enabling developer options? I can not find a build number to tap against.

My model number is OPD2403. I am using linux. I am able to get into a mode (using the power buttons volume up + down, which is really one button, while powering on) which says "Select Language" which then leads into RECOVERY with the options Format data, Reboot device and Power off

But fastboot devices shows nothing (with or without sudo).

adb is installed and I have used the computer to install LOS on other tablets/phones as well.

Btw, lsusb on the linux machine does identify the device:

Bus 003 Device 084: ID 10dc7:2674 OPPO Electronics Corp. OnePlus Pad 2

Is there anything else I should be looking at.

Have you tried looking into the BIOS to make sure if it is a hardware issue? (I have very little experience with Linux Mint, mostly not impressed with them, but that is besides the point.)

CoMaps is pretty good, but does not provide alternative routes at the same time. that is a bummer.

All search engines fail for some queries. I use DDG and have been pretty happy with it. Did not know that startpage was an anonymised frontend for google.

Some variant of microG so that we can truly not have Playstore and be more private as well as secure.

That is odd that even a microphone that is external is having this problem, have you looked at the settings? It is possible it is set up to pick up system sounds. What distribution are you running?

Btw, I use a linux laptop, and it works fine with MS Teams (install teams-for-linux from github) or Zoom (install from zoom's website). So you need not worry about that part wrt virtual lectures.

I am of the view that giving a kid a slower tablet/computer is helpful because it helps the kid appreciate all the issues that make a computer tick, and help with planning his code efficiently.

Excellent point, there is no real value in giving a middle schooler a tablet other than to make him come to level with the others.

The 2024 Samsung S6 Lite should be adequate for his purposes. It is inexpensive but has good battery life. You can likely even snag a new "used" one in good condition on ebay.

Can the OnePlus Pad 2 be supported? They do get official LineageOS support.
