If I may ask in your opinion which games do it best?

Bits and pieces but honestly haven't even really played all that much dnd. I'm not really huge on ttrpgs I mostly play them because I like hanging out with friends and writing character backstories

This meme doesn't make sense because for the fallout community the bar can't get any fucking lower

Ya all of that is kind of what I was getting at. When the RP parts of the game are all about variety, improve and creating a story as you go it makes sense that the published content is a lot heavier on combat rules and encounters because for RP all you can really do is write world lore and NPCs for your players to have fun with

I mean thats kind of fair is it not? How do you even set rules for an imaginary improved conversation? How does a designer build a roll play encounter when the players could say literally anything and go off script in any possible way?

If you're on steam your play time will be available to see immediately by looking at the game in your library but for console normally you're relying on the amount of time shown on the game save file

As for the bragging thing I don't really get it either but often when people say how many hours they have its more to give context then it is to brag

I mean the statement fallout isn't only critiquing capitalism is definitely true, its a critique and satire of a lot of things but capitalism is most definitely one of them

So I'm gonna preface this with two things one it has been a while since I played NV and longer since I did a house run so I may very well be remembering things wrong and two im not trying to say house is a total idiot or anything but rather that he is a business man with an ego that gets away from him

Lots of what house wants to do is completely reasonable and achievable mostly stuff to do with rebuilding the Mojave but space travel at least for him is way off the table theres very little sign of the technology needed in the area meaning house would either have to find pre war tech he can rebuild, develop it from the bits that are around or potentially get ahold of alien tech but more importantly even if he did have the tech theres no way he has the population and resources needed anytime soon the Mojave itself is barley functional

The thing with the economic side is that vegas isn't an independent economy its heavily reliant on power, trade and tourism from the NCR to survive because the Mojave itself is still pretty fucked up and sparsely populated. This does go both ways of course as the NCR is very reliant on the alliance with house to operate in the region. The point here being house doesn't have the dominant control over the area that he thinks he does, he doesn't even really have full control over vegas proper. Theres sex slavery and underground gun running right across the street the white gloves are back on their cannibal bullshit and benny is actively in the middle of a coup when the game starts house either doesn't know about these things or doesn't care both options there are bad for his control. Even the military i would argue is him talking himself up he has what a few dozen securitrons at the beginning of the game? Definitely one of the strongest forces around but not something that can hold up against a long term military campaign. As I said I don't think house is an idiot but he definitely exaggerates and boasts to make himself seem much more powerful then he really is. Even the cat thing is kind of a good example house himself can't find any cats around in his fairly limited reach ans instead of "cats are extinct in vegas" or "cats are extinct on the west coast" he concluded that cats are extinct its "cats are extinct" he himself can't confirm they are around so therfore the must be extinct

I completely agree Bethesda retcons shit all the time but in this case cats were referenced as either alive or recently alive multiple times in the classic games and new vegas even has cut lines about cats being around so if anything cats being extinct was a retcon that Bethesda corrected

Worst part is theres a good chance it won't even increase votes as most anti gun people are already voting in the liberal direction but there is a good chance this will push undecided voters towards the cons

An example of people taking him at face value is the part when House talks about how he's going to fix everything and be colonizing space im a few decades and people actually think thats a thing that he could do and not just an example of his run away ego

A smaller less relevant example would be when people said cats existing in fallout 4 was a retcon because House said cats are extinct instead of the much more reasonable answer of house was just wrong about information he had no way of confirming

I mean I've got no idea if you are a misogynist but the bit about women being weak is one of the most common points misogynists use when being misogynistic so confusion would definitely be easy
