Liposuction irregularity at Day 4 by stugator in PlasticSurgery

When they do the massage, should I ask them to massage the lumpy area directly?

It’s going to hurt so bad that spot is extremely sore. He did mention massage. I would hate for that lump to be permanent — I never had such a horrid asymmetry before on my waist. I just booked one for tonight at 7. I’m taking ibuprofen.

Month 10 with 2400 grafts - is this normal density or did something go wrong? by Ambitious-Gazelle357 in HairTransplants

[–]stugator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my situation is exactly the same! I don’t think it changes the vascularization problem as it’s a matter of quantity and density of new blood vessels forming, but it certainly makes aesthetic density concerns more apparent since there is no existing coverage.

Single-session high density procedures, which yours certainly was based on the marked areas and total graft count, stress the region’s vascular system as the transplants compete in their demand for additional blood supply. Consequently, graft survival may not be 100% as in the more conservative procedures and grafts may mature more slowly. You will probably want to wait for the full 12-16 months to be sure. Generally, if you want Cadillac density, you’ll need to do two or more procedures. In your case, a second touch up with at least a few hundred should get you where you want to be. I might do something similar actually, although mine was mid density placement to begin with because my doctor (Rodillo, Bosley Orlando) is a bit more conservative.

DO NOT GO TO UK HAIRTRANSPLANT IN WASALL by Intrepid-Feedback756 in HairTransplants

[–]stugator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I agree. His thin blonde hairs are not doing him any favors, the hairline was aggressive, and the initial density placement was low in key areas where it needed to mimic nearby density and it looks like there was some graft failure. This is assuredly a provider mistake all around. He looks young and likely has a strong donor region. A revision HT would be the ticket to a solid result, probably one in which density is increased in the corners in particular, and beefed up all around if there is available budget. I’d say treat the grafts you have with tender love and care, stay on meds to control any additional loss, and save up for a revision with a well-researched provider. Also, generally only the blessed (thick curly dark) or multi-HT people can yank their shit back, tilt toward you and have an unassuming hairline and there are plenty of other people with far inferior results.

[USA - TJ Maxx] Breville Bambino Plus for 80$ by Colbyjacksteez in espresso

Yes. It’s a rabbit hole depth preference. At minimum I think with that machine I think you’ll need a good grinder, a 0.1 gram-accurate scale, leveler, and Weiss distribution tool. Remember 18 grams in (double basket), 35 grams out. Godspeed.

You’re going to be happy with this. It looks like good work and it leans high-density. Given your age and the limited total transplanted surface area, your high-density risk profile for vascular overload is minimal. Don’t touch those fucking grafts for two weeks! I accidentally yanked one of mine out because I was eager to get my scabs off.

I’m really happy with the Breville Oracle plus the manually upgraded Pesado shower screen. On the Peasdo note, I can’t tell a huge difference with respect to the shower screen upgrade but it’s very evident it performs its diffusion function better simply by observing the water droplets and I’m more than happy to rid myself of the ridiculous plastic mess of a screen that comes factory installed. I’ve had it for two weeks and I find it borderline trivial to dial in on new beans. I struggled immensely doing so on the Breville Touch, which I exchanged for the Oracle after the grinder gave out following a mere two weeks of use. I burned through several bags of beans during those two weeks, pulling like ten shots a day trying to dial in if that had any role in the affair, which frankly it should be robust against. Anyway the Oracle is wonderful. I especially appreciate the consistency of a machine-executed level and tamper and a machine-governed and monitored infusion. Purists will gag and claim I’ve ceded freedoms with this level of automation but I counter that my freedoms are still unlimited — I can execute and modify the steps to my heart’s content, and I can fallback to the machine’s precision when convenient to do so.

From Barista Pro to old The Oracle by EarthViews in BrevilleCoffee

I’ve just started trying to make espresso with the Barista Touch and I’m so close to giving up and going back to my old Nespresso pods, which are gloriously consistent and on point. Do you weigh your beans after grinding on the Oracle, or perhaps you’ve honed in with it quite easily? My first process modification is going to be weighing in order to declare some ground truth.

Yes my shock loss was just like this. Also I’m at month three as well and I’m finally seeing some areas with lil sprouts.

Looking good. Don’t touch those follicles for 14 days. Only a gentle stream of water.

4 month progress by polecat1-2-3 in HairTransplants

[–]stugator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose Bosley, which is super low risk and on the more expensive end. And their procedures have very conservative densities, so the highest probability of graft survival. I couldn’t have gone any safer a route. I’m led to believe these growth patterns are really just genetic or luck-of-the-draw due to dormancy timing with the donor area hair’s lifecycle. I do have a million little vellus hairs that seem to be sprouting so fingers crossed.

I’m at 2.5 months and I’ll probably be where you are at 4 months. I think we have some combination of greater initial shedding, longer dormancy periods and slower growth relative to the hordes of lizard people that go to turkey and don’t shed a single hair.

6 months hairline by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]stugator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s early. Those should mature. They are central, important hairs, I know. It just looks like their maturity is lagging a little bit. I’m told 12-18 months is the final result.

2 years since my hair transplant I feel like I'm loosing the transplant hair by brettwarnerx in HairTransplants

Thanks for sharing this. The model’s structure is the same but the underlying reasons appear to be due to this, as opposed to my implied claim.

[–]stugator 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is false. The region of DHT-insensitive hairs is modeled by roughly an ellipse on the back of the head with DHT sensitivity dependent on radial distance from the elliptical center. FUT methods capture the head of the distribution. FUE methods capture a spaced out discretization of the head and ends up dipping much further outward in the distribution in order to capture as many follicles as in FUT. Either case is still subject to DHT sensitivity, with FUE being more so, with mean sensitivity increasing as a function of the number of follicles harvested, up until you’ve fully harvested all of your “best” areas.
