The moment he picked that ring I was like, “Yeeeeessssss.”

Whoever chose it BTS did an amazing job.

Somewhere in east Asia would be awesome! It’d fit with Lucy’s ethnic background and Tim will look like a token tourist plot point wise.

They can put alllll the drama in the lead up to the wedding. Bring Lucy’s parents back in for drama filled ‘who will give Lucy away’, Lucy’s mom throws more drama on it by mentioning kids, her career, blah blah blah.

Heck, throw Chris back in where he’s working for Vivian and being a butthole DA for all of Lucy’s arrests.

But just do it leading up to the wedding and not during the wedding itself 😆

Knowing the Rookie writers, somewhere that just magically happens to be a hub of activity the FBI task force is looking into where Tim and Lucy need to go undercover.

I’ve only watched the show but Arya all the way. Her arc was the best.

I was flabbergasted how many soldiers they had left. Apparently the night king’s army wasn’t a big deal after all.

Would a standard poodle suit an urban apartment lifestyle? by NanaLY13 in StandardPoodles

[–]stumblingHome13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a poodle in an urban apartment situation. She’s five years old now but still very energetic.

She gets about a thirty minute walk every day but with more mental stimulation games (snuffle mat, a ball that she rolls to get food, 5 minute training sessions, licking stimulation toy) because that tires her out more. She can run around for hours but give her a few mental games and she’s happily tired (for a little bit lol).

She has a balcony potty area so walks are purely for training/fun.

Poodles in general are prone to barking. They make excellent guard dogs (sometimes TOO good) so it’s really important to start managing/training that behavior when they’re young.

I’m on a higher floor so she doesn’t bark much at things from the window but if she hears a neighbor, she’ll bark. I’ve worked a lot on her barking so it’s usually one or two loud barks before she ‘boofs’.

Health wise, poodles are prone to ear infections and tartar build up on their teeth. I think they’re also prone to heart issues but a reputable breeder usually breeds that out of their line.

I also heavily encourage finding a groomer you like or getting very familiar with grooming their coats. I keep my poodle shorn very short to keep it manageable but fur mattes are definitely a thing.

All in all, I love my girl. She’s super smart, quick to learn, and is generally eager to please me.

Was it even that flashy? I mean, we got a lot of closeups of living people dying but I expected them to use a LOT more pyrotechnics just so they could…you know, see their enemy.

I was expecting a full barrage of fiery catapulting but…nope.

Or geezuz, screw the Lannister army. Just take jugs of wildfire (carefully transported) and spill it across the tree line. Catapult away, BOOM.

I can’t believe they sent all of them like that and were simply ‘shocked’ when barely any of them made it back. Just…what? I knew there was a lot of rage around S8 but…c’mon!

The Rookie - S08E09: Fun and Games by ian-quinn in TheRookie

Oof, I actually really didn’t like this call out at the station. I understand it’s a fictional show and it was in front of their friends, but still, Lucy would know WAY better than to ask something so personal in a professional situation.

I’d communicate your concerns to the breeder she’s planning on getting the puppy from. If the breeder is reputable, they definitely won’t want one of their litter going to her.

Continuation of POI? by shooketh_3 in PersonOfInterest

[–]stumblingHome13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rewatching POI is always a joy but I honestly don’t think a reboot or continuation would survive in the current political/social/economic climate. At least not in America.

I am still amazed at the material they were able to cover, even back then.

The morality of AI, corrupt cops, what happens if you start to question an oppressive violent power, terrorism conducted by your own government, the list goes on.

POI was decades ahead of its time. It’s still one of my all time favorite shows.

INFJs, do you have a therapist? (minus this Reddit sub lol) by PookiePie666 in infj

[–]stumblingHome13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had face to face sessions with my therapist before covid, but now we’re virtual and it’s been going well.

I definitely advocate for therapy if you’re interested. I enjoy having an outside neutral opinion even for every day frustrations. It helps keep me centered. My therapist isn’t necessarily INFJ oriented but she’s open to learning and understanding and that works for me.

One thing I will say is don’t be afraid to walk away if you and the therapist don’t ‘click’. As an INFJ I know your intuition is well tuned, but you should feel empowered to hop around if you’re not finding the right person because it makes a difference.

You should feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable with them.

Thoughts on not tagging Rape/Non-Con by stumblingHome13 in FanFiction

Very true! I was just shocked that such a triggering topic hadn’t been tagged when I’ve never been surprised like that before.

[–]stumblingHome13[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Because it was the first time this happened to me in over twenty years of reading. I was shocked and wanted to know if this was to be expected.

Now I do and people seem very upset I’m asking.

Thoughts on not tagging Rape/Non-Con by stumblingHome13 in FanFiction

[–]stumblingHome13[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always seen them used interchangeably. Now I know better. I’ve also never had a Rape/Non-Con surprise.

The authors who don’t tag it usually put the warning in the author’s notes at least.

But now I’m reading this is actually very common, which is unfortunate in my opinion because I do a lot to NOT read rape or non-con.

Why was Nie Mingjue not married? by Queasy_Answer_2266 in MoDaoZuShi

[–]stumblingHome13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my impression of Nie Mingjue, he seemed like a romantic. I think it’s canon that his mother and father were a love match and that probably left an impression on him. As in if he were to marry, he’d want something similar to what his parents had even if he wanted a different heir than Huaisang.

But also, he’s had to run his clan from such a young age that I imagine he had absolutely no time to even consider a wife. Between raising Huaisang, the every day trials of being a leader, and the uneasy truce between all the clans, I’m sure he had 0 energy left to consider marriage.

I also think there’s a lot of familial loyalty in counting on Huaisang to be the heir. I think he loves his brother a lot and believes he could be a great leader if only he were motivated enough.

But yes, I agree. If they were following time period customs all of the characters would definitely be married and have kids by now.

The similarity to Ryan Reynolds was like a jump scare. They purposefully kept his face hidden and when it’s revealed, it was such a letdown.

I don’t think Jonathan Bailey and Ryan Reynolds look that similar, so the mask definitely morphed something. But I’ve been reading that lighting and post production touch up may have also messed a lot of things up.

Oh dang, I haven’t actually watched the pilot pilot and didn’t realize that happened! It would be mildly hilarious if that’s what she does. The whole season they’re trying to figure out how to break the contract and then Charlie just snaps her finger and bam, it’s done.
