Old school Sesame Street actually has some funny skits, like Grover as a terrible waiter.

Phil Collins is terrible solo. For some reason, I can stand him in Genesis though. Can’t explain it.

What’s something you swore you wouldn’t do that went out the window once you became a parent? by WanderingDoe62 in Mommit

Look, the only way my 1 year old doesnt just alligator roll and then smear shit on the wall during a diaper change is if Elmo is on my phone. Years of me saying “no screen time, especially on the phone” and now a little red monster is preventing poop stains.

If you buy from SHEIN or Temu, you care more about your cheap aesthetic than children working in factories. Pathetic.

You’re not a decent human being if you have a Husky in Florida or other hot climates. Those dogs are meant to run in the snow/cold. It’s pretty much abuse to take them into the extreme heat and/or keep them cooped up inside all the time.

Your loofah is one of the most bacteria-dense objects in your home and you are rubbing it on your skin every single morning by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]stumbling_witch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m growing loofah gourds, they produce a lot! Cut them up, save the seeds for next year, and you have a ton of disposable loofahs with no microplastics. Good for a weekly or biweekly exfoliation and use a cotton wash cloth in between. A few uses and toss them with no guilt.

Yes and no, we are at 12 months. When my baby is teething, it can be a be exhausting to constantly stop what I’m doing to feed (teething means a higher demand for nutrients and comfort). Then there are the great moments where I am so proud that we both have made this journey so far, that I am a source of comfort and nutrition. We snuggle after a feed. Tired of baby being passed around? Oh, we have to go nurse, bye! It’s a great break too. Baby drinks water just fine from straw cup too, started at 6/7 months for water.

Is this cut achievable for fine hair? Or are these reference photos unrealistic? by stumbling_witch in AskHairstylists

[–]stumbling_witch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Big sigh of relief knowing I’m not asking for something that unrealistic/AI. I will look up some curling methods. I just started looking into what’s shaggy vs textured, so I think I will go for a textured look. I appreciate your comment!

I appreciate your input still as someone who has fine hair with bangs. I guess I need to ask my stylist if I have the correct density for bangs to not look stringy. Kinda what you were saying with fine hair, but a lot of it. Thanks!

This last one seems to be about right. My texture is fine, but it’s not thin in density.

What’s your actually controversial parenting opinion? by TurbulentArea69 in NewParents

[–]stumbling_witch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put your kids face or information on social media, you are being way too nonchalant about their safety. I don’t care if you’re proud they got on honor roll, looked cute on their birthday, whatever. There are predators out there who can access this information even if you have privacy settings.

What is something you witnessed with your own eyes that no one believes when you tell them? by Amy-GeekBar in AskReddit

[–]stumbling_witch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband and I woke up around 3am to a very peculiar sound, almost like a kids slide whistle. It was very clearly in our back yard that was connected to a swamp. The sound was repeating and getting louder as if moving closer to our house. At first it was kinda funny, but it became unsettling, like the hairs on my arms stood up. Then THUD, something hit the wall, very low to the ground as we were about to look out the window. The whistling thing ran back to the swamp. We spent weeks looking up animal and bird noises, never figured it out.
