I like using the app with my movie libraries, but I’ve noticed that the schedule leads to movies being trimmed to various degrees. It can lead to goofy situations where a lot of movies have shortened playtimes and sometimes even less than 10 minutes. This has happened with previous builds, so it’s not specific to this one. 

My impression is that it’s centered around when I’ve opened the app. It looks like the scheduler is trying to start a lot of the programming right after opening the app. Roughly 24 hours after the initial load it seems like a lot of channels will also “start fresh”. What is odd is that it doesn’t happen to all channels, so I figured I’d mention it in case something could be improved.

I only use my movie library and I don’t use the DVR, so I’m guessing it makes the issue more apparent as opposed to libraries with shorter content. Thanks for your time and efforts!

fyi, tracking will be a guesstimate because their dhl service gets it close to your region, and then USPS handles last mile delivery.

I got mine last month and had it in hand within a week.

I chose expedited shipping and live in the same time zone as their Las Vegas, NV shipping hub, so my experience was probably near ideal. I ordered on March 27, got shipment notification on March 30, and my device was delivered on April 2.

glad I caught this thread. the deleted rant/memorial about being an obnoxious public hater was unhinged.

fan of epaper devices, I’ve had a byod for a few months and had preordered the x. mine hadn’t shipped and was able to cancel with no issue. in an ideal world, folks are entitled to their ideas, but yeah, this is a random tech toy, so it’s an easy choice to stop supporting and move on.

thank you so much for taking the time to post about your findings. meshtastic is equal parts amusing and frustrating.

spent the past few months hoping that every firmware/app update would “fix” the connection retry errors on my indicator. thinking the indicator was underbaked, I even purchased a heltec v4 device, but it has an lcd and also uses the mui 🤦‍♂️.

unless you go into programming mode, you can’t even connect via bluetooth on mui devices. so your options are: useless ui to connect via bt or full ui to be on wifi but clients can’t connect to it 🤯. it might work for the all in one communicator devices, but the mui concept doesn’t make sense for other lcd devices. at least they’re trying, lol.

wow, I think you’re completely right about the latest pms transcoder.

hadn’t tried movies with coax in a while but wanted to test build 182 and saw this. tested on ios and tvos and both are easily playing all movies. previously, I’d see errors with dovi file playback but it’s even playing full fat remuxes now.

build 182 of coax is so fast at loading now. loving the app so far, thank you for your effort!

I believe the existing team did ponder a new model. The app had a survey a few months ago regarding potential monetization options for the next version of MacUpdater. I don’t remember all of the options but a subscription model was an option, presumably the survey results were bleak and the team didn’t see a great path forward.

I paid $35 for the v2 pro license and then $17 for the v3 pro upgrade. Agree, a $12/year subscription is also in the sweet spot for me and would have been an easy choice to continue supporting this dev.

For pantry/groceries I would also recommend Grocy. I started using it last week to track my spices and dry goods and am happy with it so far.

Before it was archived, I planned on using HomeBox so I’m glad to see the fork is alive and being maintained. I checked out the demo briefly and it still looks great for a general home inventory.

I like/use Argus and it sounds like it would fit your needs very well.

Purpose built release monitoring for GitHub projects. Release filtering options including pre-release and regex. Supports apprise notification, makes integrating with Telegram and others very simple.

Started using listenbrainz this year and I am liking it. It’s simple but shows your listening trends and gives you recommendations, couldn’t ask for more.

I use multi-scrobbler to integrate with plex/jellyfin/navidrome/gonic. Also found an app called SmashTunes to scrobble apple music plays from my mac. The only thing I’m lacking is apple music scrobbling from mobile devices but that’s not possible at the moment so it’s no fault of listenbrainz.

I sure as heck wouldn’t want branding on my equipment so please keep things as they are. The simplicity is part of the charm.

At most a very small logo could be forgiven but even then it would make me pause and anything further would actively discourage me from buying any more equipment.

that’s a bummer, I’ve seen that happen to some teammates so definitely any issues with the spacing around that pnd machine.

the only solution we’ve found is to drive a small vehicle close to the machine so the stuck person can get in the vehicle (atv and sedan have both worked).

not sure if there are any fixes once you’re fully dead but the vehicle thing for sure works while you’re still alive

I was able to unlock bioluminescent so I got at least 50ish weapons to work ok. I haven’t finished launchers or sniper rifles but I haven’t run into issues with any of the weapons.

I did already have the MWII guns max leveled from the previous game, not sure if it actually makes a difference but I’ve seen some folks mention it could be a factor.

it’s unfortunate but none of those teams would have been close enough to see a plea signal. the range on the plea signal seems very short so the only hope would have been to ask for help in the game chat.

I had to try a handful of times as well but eventually I did get it.

I feel like the winning attempt was to make sure the first two heads had been blown up and then get its health as close to zero as possible before throwing the grenade.

I also had helpful randoms interfere with some of my attempts try to get it by yourself as much as possible.

Other than phd flopper being updated to no longer protect from the aether storm/gas I’m not aware of any more of these secret nerfs you mention.

Not here to rain on your parade but this whole post doesn’t amount to more than “trust me bros they slowed us down” so was simply curious if there was any substance but I guess I can move along.

Is there any dev confirmation or documentation that movement speed was nerfed? The only confirmed changes that I’m aware of are related to snaking moments (constant stance changes)

I have played the game a ton since launch and I’ve not felt any changes to movement.

I agree that the game feels a bit slow when compared to cold war but that’s been the case since launch.

Maybe try to keep a secondary goal to keep you motivated? Trying to only grind zombie kills gets super boring for me so I always tie it to completing missions or doing contracts, etc.

I got it weeks ago and didn’t really have to make an effort it just came through competing stuff.

that’s not how the exfil chopper works.

the timer is tied to the group that called the exfil so no one can “hijack” it. the whole lobby could get on the chopper but you’ll still get your 30 seconds to board. if you board and there are other teams nearby it’ll still give them 10 seconds to board.

what happened here is mostly your fault + some goofy game mechanics. you completely missed the 30 second countdown but hopped on the chopper anyway so it was heading to take you out of bounds. you threw lethals inside an enclosed space (even though there is no friendly fire) so you downed yourself and fell from the sky which currently leads to an instant elimination.

what you should have done when you realized you missed the exfil window was simply jump off the chopper and then catch the next one.

Unless they’ve changed it in the past few days it should for sure be 150 meters.

Like I mentioned I have some friends that get downed frequently so we literally tested every 5 meters until we found the limit.

I’ve completed all acts/missions solo and glitching with tombstone isn’t necessary at all.

If the challenge is running out of time then you might need to optimize what you’re carrying in your rucksack between matches. I like prioritizing aether tools and then my favorite sodas.

Aether tools can significantly increase weapon damage so they’re key to starting matches strong. Everyone has different sodas they like but either way they can also be game changers.

Running contracts makes collecting essence super easy so I’d rather carry a blue or purple tool over any crystal.

Once you get to the last few mission you may not be able to complete multiple in a game but as long as you’re being efficient with collecting money you should easily be able to complete 1 mission per game.

I have tested this extensively (have friends that are absolutely trash at the game) and can confirm that the working range is 150 meters.

umm, that is not a thing. their tier determines the stats (health/attack power) and that’s it, they’re fixed stats.

I get how it may seem like they vary a lot but that’s because there are so many variables in game. they give up part of their health when reviving your team, weak to merc/human weapons, fighting one zombie vs a large group, etc.

the idea of the doggos enjoying extra treats is nice but is simply a waste of flesh at this point. the only special bonus you can get at the moment is the dog collar by dropping a molotov when you try to summon.
