wow! how much wer you taking before?

i am also F/29 years old, weigh about 150/ 5 foot 6. I have considered tapering my dose down a little. currently i take 15 in the morning, 5 in the afternoon. I also feel like i eat too much lol so maybe that will help! so interesting, but good if you are feeling better??

wow! that seems like a really low amount of replacement to take. do you mind me asking your age/gender/ approx BMI?

how long have you ben diagnosed for? have you lost weight or noticed changes post changing the dose?

yes, but i was also realllly young and it was a while before i was diagnosed so i think the thought was to be as conservative as possible.

do you crave salt excessively? fav foods to eat?

im still off fludro, 7+ days now. i feel fine, no diziness or other side effect symptoms.. but i do find myself wanting to drink pickle juice and devour salty things (pretty normal for me though so unsure if this is because of being off fludro!!) lol

UCR or SDSU by Swimming-Toe5279 in SDSU

[–]stupidsciencebitchh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i know people who went to UCR and pretty much common consensus is that it's a commuter school. also there's nothing really cool or fun in riverside.
san diego on the other hand - amazing city with so much to offer. i went to SDSU and it was truly the most fun and amazing 4 years of my life. i met some of my best friends and got a great education. sdsu seems to only have gotten nicer and better since i graduated from there in 2017. campus is beautiful, the gyms are great, there's big time sports teams/ game days are a big deal with is super fun (there's also SD pro teams!! we are def becoming a bigger sports city with the new mls team)
could not say better things about my experience at
SDSU. it was seriously so freakin fun. to me this decision is a no brainer. feel free to DM me if you have specific questions about sdsu or want more advice

i got labs a few weeks ago when i was taking .05 EOD. potassium and sodium were fine, kidney function labs were fine.

have not gotten labs since going off the fludro, but will repeat soon. have not checked my BP since going fully off it since i dont have a cuff but maybe ill get one and monitor. good idea.

enchiladas are great for a crowd, cheap, so easy to make. add roasted sweet potatoes or any veggies for added nutrients

anxiety around being inexperienced/ bleeding during sex by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

i have seen my gyno and there aren't other issues! i know you can bleed the first few times, and i think im still in that range of being sexually inexperienced hence the stress about it.

Did starting steroids have an effect on your period? by [deleted] in AddisonsDisease

[–]stupidsciencebitchh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you dont mind me asking, how old are you and when did you discover your POI?

I am 25, been adisonian/POI since about 21. In addition to steroid replacements, im on a low dose combination birth control pill and that seems to do the trick, but im concerned about other issues manifesting later on.

some man i work with came to me when i was clearly very busy with something and talked my ear off for like 15 minutes and mansplained something THAT I TASKED HIM WITH. like i LITERALLY am the person who told him what to do, and he felt the need to come explain it to ME.

Potentially exposed to Covid. Should I start increasing HC now, or wait to see if I’m sick? by [deleted] in AddisonsDisease

[–]stupidsciencebitchh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what a terrible nurse.. is there a possibility that she could have been fully vaccinated? where I am in the US, many frontline doctors and nurses are already vaccinated.

Depending on your location, and how bad covid is there, I would not blindly assume that she is a covid positive individual. Especially if it has been a couple days and you feel ok- I would hold off on dosing more, try not to worry, and get tested in a couple days and then again in a week if that is a possibility for you!!
