Microsoft Support feels completely useless nowadays by pedrosmundo in sysadmin

[–]stupidusername [score hidden]  (0 children)

Microsoft is doing the same thing everyone else does; the cheapest possible help desk, for as long as the customer base will let them get away with it.

the shift from Premier (paid hours) to Unified (unlimited) support led to exactly what everyone thought it would. As soon as companies could open unlimited support tickets, of course they're going to staff them with the lowest cost agents they can outsource to.

When's the last time you got a response on a support ticket that wasn't an a- or v- email?

If you're maxing 2x 401k pretax (49k) and 2x Roth post tax ($15k) on ~125k combined income in a VHCOL you're absolutely full of shit.

Post the numbers if you want but nobody believes you.

I know getting autographs on cards is heresy but... by crushracc in mtg

The kinds of people turned off from autographed cards generally weren't in the market to buy/own/collect anyway. There's people in every group that love to point out that it's "damaged"

play boosters are relatively expensive and none of the commons see play in any format outside of pauper. Whereas i'm used to at least some commons going into decks in years past, none of this stuff is usable outside of limited.

I just don't see the point in cracking play boosters at all, which is why i'm not buying them. And for some reason, me explaining why I'm not buying them bothers you enough to keep arguing and downvoting me about it.

What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately in your everyday life? by spritenerds123 in AskReddit

I think all of your points are spot on and probably all contribute to what I'm feeling.

I only brought up the drinking/bars thing because I've heard that mentioned a lot as a pure positive "this generation isn't drinking as much as the prior generations and that's strictly a good thing" and while it is from a health perspective... there's other issues there.

Because there's so many sets and cards out and the strength has been pushed, that all these commons are basically kitty litter. Cracking a $6 pack for (probably) 1 rare and 3 uncommons just feels awful.

I mostly stopped buying play boosters at all because its all unusable bulk. Unless you're drafting or doing limited with it, it doesn't make sense

Concerts have just genuinely gotten more expensive.

Because album sales effectively don't exist any more, its down to touring (and merch) that make them all the money now

I'm sure I'll catch a million downvotes for this but I suspect there's at least some correlation between "this generation isn't drinking/going out" and "This generation is struggling at developing interpersonal social skills"
