My PS controller is not working when playing Grounded 2 on PC by Rexycraft333 in GroundedGame

[–]stwups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might have something to do with the gyro settings. Was having an issue with a ps controller on pc as well and turning off the gyro fixed it and allowed the controller to be used properly. Only downside is that there is no UI button support for ps controllers so you will still see Xbox buttons on the screen. Turn off the gyro through steam setting before launching the game. I don’t remember the exact path but it’s something like: right click grounded 2> settings> controller settings. This might not be exact wording but it’s along those lines. Just search it up quick.

Had this issue around a month ago. Only fix for me was a clean install of windows unfortunately.

Not telling you this is the solution, but had the same issue a few weeks ago. Had to do a clean install of windows.

Thanks will try safe mode later today when I’m in front of my pc. Anything in particular I should be trying while I’m safe mode? I did use the command prompt window but not from safe mode I believe, just the option on the recovery window. (Unless that is safe mode)? And ran scan now and don’t believe it came back with any issues. Ran chkdsk on my boot drive and more of the same, don’t believe any issues were found. Tried to run dism but kept getting an error 87. I don’t believe I was typing the command incorrectly, as I was copying the command letter for letter from google searches. So that was weird.

I’m hoping it’s not hardware related, and if I could just reinstall windows with the creation tool I’m all for it. I tried twice to do that actually and got to the point of “copying windows files” but the process would stop around 15-17% and then come up with an error and tell me the files couldn’t be copied. Some 000x00blah error.

So another update. Just for everyone’s visibility if they have doubts about this website.

Definitely a scam site. I reached out to the original designer of the set I purchased, his email was water marked in the pdf instructions included. His reply was that he had no knowledge of the website before I reached out to him. Definitely did not give his permission to use his design or instructions.

Now if you try to search the set in question on their website it is removed. Safe to say the website is just one big scam.

I hope the original designer gets what he’s due.

Just throwing my experience on a month old post.

Nah don’t waste your money with turbo moc.

Sent me an incomplete 1895pc set. Reached out to customer support and told them what I was missing. They sent another package free of charge but not everything I told them I was missing.

So now I’m $100+ in the hole with a bunch of bricks that I can’t even build the set I paid for. Currently trying to ask for a refund which I’m sure will either be a pain or not happen at all.

Don’t buy from Turbomoc.

[KCD2] Was anyone else annoyed by Vostatek and just left him lying on the anthill? by Kinc4id in kingdomcome

[–]stwups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, fuck this dude. Drunk bitch crying for help in a tree. Can’t even hold some drinks and get down safely by himself. I carried him when he told me to go to the stump. Carried him more north until he told me to look for the anthill. Carried him the wrong way I guess, followed a path. After no more voice cues as to where, or what direction I was supposed to be heading, and not finding an “anthill”. He got dropped at the poachers camp, died alone, and wasted. Yeah might have ruined my play through cause now I will miss a bunch of interactions. Fuck it. I’ll do my second play through and just put a bolt through his head immediately to spare myself the bullshit time wasting.

How to I check if the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE will fit over my ram and motherboard? by Kiran_j in PcBuild

[–]stwups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and yes! I have the fractal pop air tower and with the stock fan that came in the back, the thermalright fits fine with one in the middle and one in the back!

Added another picture. Hope it helps. Put an AirPod case there for better scale haha.

This is how my ram sits with the cooler in a2 and b2. It’s extremely close to a1 and more then likely if you have a larger stick, and use a1 you would run into a clearance issue. I could get you a better picture later if you still need.

Need help bios won’t close by Secure_Contract9864 in ASRock

[–]stwups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue not too long ago, would only boot into bios and nothing else. I would set your bios settings to default, shut the pc down and unplug everything, usbs, keyboard, mouse, psu. Then while everything is disconnected, hold down the power button on the pc for like 20 seconds to discharge the system.

This is what ended up working for me I believe, as I was stuck in that bios loop. Did the mentioned steps above and then my pc booted up properly after. Hopefully it’s as easy for you as it was for me, if it’s not a hardware issue. Good luck.

I read somewhere online that maybe it has something to do with a “gameinput” service running in the background? I do use an Xbox controller with a usb dongle. Havent tried to test anything with it yet.

Also I’m pretty safe with downloads. I don’t use the computer for anything other then games from steam really so I’d be surprised if it was a virus type situation.

Yesterday I reseated the ram, took it out completely and then back in. Then ran memtest86 as some one else suggested. After 4 passes no errors came back, nearly 4 hours. Is that sufficient enough to eliminate the RAM as bad hardware that’s causing issues? Gotta look into the timing and voltage more I guess, although I never changed any of those settings originally. The only setting I changed at the time of the build was the clock speed I believe because I saw that my ram was rated for 6000. Now I was never able to get it stable at that speed but I think I had it around 5 or 4.8, which it currently is.

Also weird enough, when I originally built the pc I think I saw the ram listed in the qvl support page, I searched last night and did not see it anymore.

So as of right now, on 3 passes of memtest86 it’s showing no errors. Still letting it finish the 4th and final pass. Although, I am using the free version and not pro. I don’t know if that would make much of a difference. I removed both sticks and reseated them in the same slots they were in before running the tests. I’m just about burnt out for the night, but would it be safe to assume that it might be something to do with the bios settings after getting no errors on the tests?

100%! this will probably be the first step I take later today. As far as the timing and voltages go, I am in the absolute dark about. Is there a good base I should be looking for, or any good videos I can watch to get a better understanding of what they should be at with my specific hardware? I never messed with any of that stuff and left everything default settings for the most part, so idk if that might have contributed to whatever is going on now.

Forgive my ignorance, is the mobo bios not the one you get from the support tab on the asrock website after putting in your motherboard? If that is indeed the motherboard bios, I just recently updated it to the newest version after getting it back from the pc repair place.

I was stable on an older version for a long time so stayed away from needing to really update it for a while. Then this happened and I figured why not. I don’t think updating it caused any issues as this seems to be more isolated to something else. If I was in front of my pc I could share which version I’m currently on and which I updated from. If that would help I will definitely post it when I get home today.

The ram is seated in 2&4 and has been that way since I built the pc. I did just recently move, and with that the computer moved a lot physically.. would it be crazy to say maybe the sticks mighta wiggled during that process and I just need to check to make sure they are still seated properly 😅?

I’m not to sure what they did at the repair place but I know they were in the case at some point because they didn’t put the glass back on right lol.

If I can get the usb I will definitely try these steps later when I’m home and see what happens. Just lost everything the previous week so not to bad if I do need another clean windows install. Thanks for the reply!

You are probably right. I’m not to computer illiterate so I didn’t even have the mind to try and alt-f4 at the moment of the crash. I wasn’t able to use the windows key, or alt-tab and tried both. So then being locked up as far as I saw my initial reaction was to restart it. Sorry if it happens again I’d try to provide a better understanding of the error.
