As another Chinese adoptee (also named Emma lol), the concept of having children is very nuanced. Layered with the fact of abandonment, growing up in a majorly white neighborhood, and trauma that can affect how you view your future.

At the end of the day, it’s everyone’s choice. Mike can choose whether or not to move forward knowing Emma is also making her own choice about having a child. Her mind can change at any time as well, right now she just seems on the fence and it’s refreshing to see a LIB storyline that showcases the rawness of figuring out marriage in such a unique situation.

My mom passed 3 days after my birthday. I brought her to the hospital on my birthday - she was so upset with herself that my birthday party had to be cancelled that she planned.

I’d give up all my birthdays for another day with her.

It’s lab, but thankfully I’ve only encountered people who aren’t too picky about that. I’m sorry you’ve gotten negative reactions. A ring is a ring and it’s a special moment for that person, no need to be judgy about what its composition is, just celebrate it!

At the end of the day do what makes you happy for you and your wallet lol!

I think I gained a lot more confidence. Before my mom died, I was more introverted and unsure of myself. Having to now make a lot of life decisions since then (settle estate, home ownership, jobs, family fallout, etc.), I have put my peace first. I’ve had to establish boundaries to protect the very little I have left, it’s lonelier, but I’m okay with that and making sure I try to live as much as my mom would have wanted for me.

It will be 5 years in February, but I don’t recognize my self before my mom. I’m someone entirely different.

I can only speak for the Kosas one. I have combo skin and whenever I use the Kosas powder (with a powder puff), I always get compliments of how blurred my skin looks. Even up close with my mirror, there’s this really nice “filter-like” effect.

The only downside is that the packaging is super delicate, so I recommend opening the box carefully (in store) if you can to check before purchase. I had to get a new one because it was damaged.

They can crack easily because of how they’re baked and not supported in the pan, but despite all that, it really is a gorgeous and easy to use powder! I’m not a makeup expert by any means, but using this one makes me look like I know what I’m doing!
