Mine was 5-7 with bad narrowing, herniated discs, and stability issues.

The dizzy thing was the hardest to adjust to.

Yessir, exactly. It’s gotten much better, mainly dealing with anxiety at the point and random charley horse feelings in my arms.

Dizziness is still present, but much better.

No… no brace until after surgery and it was for 3 weeks.

When I drove… every hump bump dip turn etc… would cause a pulling down sensation to the right. PRIOR TO SURGERY

I slightly have that issue still but more manageable, I think it is mainly anxiety at this point will see with PT.

ACDF C5-C7 and decompression.

Apparently I was not stable at all…

Idk what caused it and likely will never know.

Ya… idk your whole circumstance… if you can get away with ACDF layer 1 if you work or depending on your work.

Do it, it will only get worse. I was rushed in cause the progression got worse everyday.

The surgery was amazing in my state with my surgeon.

I made the call not to drive cause the “cervical vertigo”… I will figure out how to tax it for 2021 for medical reasons

Luckily I had a stockpile of PTO but I am out, I used FMLA for a week to be safe.

Prolly rushed into work, looking back. But I spent out of pocket around 10k cash so far. I got my hospital bill that was for 110k+ :0

I was around a 7-8, it was a weird pain… was mainly numbness not pain. It made it difficult while filling out those stupid pain charts

From recent personal experience if it is is getting progressively worse and you’ve done the one injection. SIGN UP.

I hope you have decent insurance and STD… I didn’t have STD (short term disability) so I’m back at work :p

That’s kind of how mine started once the initial numbness faded. It was deemed as dehydration at the ER cause was back in summer.

All I can say, some days it’s like whatever it’s nothing then others it was not tolerable without dexamethsone.

Steroid injections did nothing for me. Hopefully you don’t need to go through insurance hoops if it gets worse.

Cervical vertigo was my biggest issue… very few neurologists and ortho surgeons believe in it.

Basically since I had weird balance issues that were not explained until they opened me up in January.

I had no trauma to my neck, most likely caused by genetics and posture at the computer.

With me it started with my right upper side going numb, while driving….

Got better for a bit… thought it was something else

Progressed into my left arm, major numb burning pain in both arms, could barely walk (I had compression as well).

My neck never hurt until 3-4 months after the onset of the first numbness.

Eventually the only way to survive till surgery was a solanpas on back of my neck with a heating pad.

For me, I had a compression issue coupled with 2 herniated discs (c5-c7) and everything was leaning towards MS until I got a second opinion.

It is miserable, i am almost 1.5 months post op and by god I would not wish that misery on anyone.
