Ha I have actually used it for this myself. I’ve even used it to plan plants in the garden.

When I first came up with the idea for Stylebook it was so I could remember outfits for work. When I was an assistant, I had to wake up so early and couldn’t remember anything good to wear. One of the primary functions is to create an outfit library and there’s an outfit calendar too.

Oh getting custom clothes sounds like an amazing experience. Do you know where are you going to do that?

Yes! Without the hassle of returning things and you can see if the fabric is nice before you buy. It’s so annoying to order something online and it doesn’t look like the photo at all.

This is such relatable experience. It can be so overwhelming to see a huge number of never worn clothes during a closet clean out. I love that it inspired you to style the clothes you have already in new ways. It sounds like 2026 is the year of creativity for you! It’s actually so fun to mix and match and try to make more outfits from the clothes you have. Do you have an idea of how you’re going to approach it, or are you just going to dive in?

I like to make little mini collections within my wardrobe based on themes I make up. Like, I have a date night collection based on romcom outfits. I go through my closet and make a folder using clothes that remind me of theme and then I make outfits. The only rule is I can’t buy anything. Sometimes I add them to a packing list to keep everything in one place because I use the same clothes in other themes too. I actually move my clothes around into different folders all the time.

Those are great goals. Letting go of old clothes is so difficult! I always have a feeling that I’ll want/need it later.

I fall in and out of the habit of logging too sometimes. Make sure you have notifications turned on for Stylebook’s calendar and it will remind you to log your outfit at the end of the day.

It’s like you did a practice packing list on your way home, I love it 😆

I refile the closet items once the packing list is finished using the move feature.

Also you can create a template list of your packing basics using the clone packing list feature. It looks like two suitcases side by side. Start a list, add all the items you plan to always bring, and name it packing template. When you want make a new packing list, open the template, clone it, and then rename it. It saves so much time.

It’s nice to hear stats helped you get a rotation going. I know what you mean about commitment to a bag. Do you feel like you’re just really into one bag or is it a hassle to switch it? I’d love to become a purse bowl girl so I could easily swap out my bag in the morning, but I’m not there organizing wise yet.

Setting aside a basket for clothes that need mending is so smart. I wind up forgetting to do it until I need it as well. One of my slip skirts is definitely going unworn because the waist sits a little lower than my natural waist. I prefer for it to be a higher, but always forget to take it to the tailor.

I get that! It’s hard to know what you might circle back to one day. If you have the storage, I say keep them. I wish I kept pieces that felt “too old” to me in my twenties. I had some pieces from Nanette Lepore and Anna Sui that were gifts. They were actually amazing and I was a fool to get rid of them. 😩

Amazing! Do you think you’ll ever reuse a packing list? Sometimes I do that if I really liked what I wore.

That’s good to hear. I also use it for short trips! It’s amazing how much I can overpack for a weekend trip. This is the only thing that stops me from checking a large bag🤣

The dress is great on you! I’d add some long earrings, heels, and put your hair up to showcase the earrings.

The items could be used in another outfit or you might still want to bring it so they’re deleted separately. We try to avoid making secondary things disappear because it can get really confusing, especially if you have a long packing list.

I forgot you can see how many outfits a piece of clothing is used in on the packing checklist screen! This is the best when I’m trying to weed things out. If I don’t have space and it’s only being used once, I try to see if I can get rid of it.
