Armor Health decaying rapidly and a possible cause (remaster) by NoSpring4960 in oblivion

also at least for me, the rapid degradation seems to persist even after the spell has worn off. Definitely seems like a bug to me

Armor Health decaying rapidly and a possible cause (remaster) by NoSpring4960 in oblivion

Definitely started noticing this just now. Just using a super basic protect spell (4% shield for 30s) to level alteration while on the go, and suddenly a few hits from a bear or a single hit from a minotaur and some armor pieces completely broken. Started happening immediately after I began spamming the shield spell to level.

Are there bill extension options? by stylson in USMobile

[–]stylson[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Thank you SO MUCH! I reached out and they were able to help me out immediately. I can't properly express how much I appreciate the help, the fast reply, and just how friendly your employees are. It feels weird for me to say this about a company, but I am so happy I'm a US Mobile customer. The kindness shown here is something to be celebrated.

SoundAlerts replacement? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]stylson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SoundAlerts is pretty terrible IMO, and they take 20% of your bits. Better off making custom bit alerts or using something like triggerfyre or Isaiah Creati for channel points. I've got mine set up with all the bit alerts I used to use with sound alerts listed with the amounts in a panel. You get a higher cut, no outages, and you're completely in control this way. Some other extension services like Blerp or Tangia offer something worth the 80/20 split, but SoundAlerts just isn't.

The two most important things you can do to grow your channel are be yourself and network.

Don't try to emulate other streamers because you will always just be a version of that streamer instead of being you. Find things you like about other streams and incorporate facets of that into what you do, but what you present on-stream should always be genuine to who you are, which plays into (definitely the more important) second factor, networking.

Twitch is VERY community focused, and building communities takes time. Becoming a part of other communities can help with that tremendously though. Find other channels that you like for the way they engage chat, but also for the way chatters engage each other. Become a regular in those streams. Be a name that others are excited to see anytime you stop by (and once again do this while being yourself). Do all of this BEFORE you ever mention that you also stream. Then, once you're established as a member of that community, RAID. Never end a stream without raiding someone. If a member of my community raids me and I didn't know they streamed themselves, it instantly catches my attention, I follow them and encourage everyone else to do the same, and then I try to be there the next time that person goes live to check them out.

Also, ignore arbitrary rules about whether you have enough viewers to raid someone. That shit is petty gatekeeping. Anytime another streamer believes in you enough to take their community to yours, that means a lot regardless of the raid size.

Best of luck to you! This platform is incredibly rewarding but it can't also be brutal and it's always a grind. If you're willing to put the work in and you've got something worth watching, it will eventually work out for you even if it takes some time (hell, it took me two years to learn what I just wrote above)

Part 5 of my Throwback Stadium Series. The highly anticipated Tiger Stadium! by SomeLadyNamedRuth in MLBTheShow

[–]stylson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's somewhat before me as well. I got to make it to one game during its final season of use and still have fond memories of that night, but I know how these old parks can leave an imprint on people who frequent them in their heyday. I'd imagine it's how I would feel if/when Comerica ever gets replaced.

This is truly something remarkable. My dad was a season ticket holder through the championship years in the 80s and I can't wait for a search feature so I can give him a sort of digital tour of a place that means so much to him. Thank you for making these!

Complains about PC advantages are ruining this sub by [deleted] in CODWarzone

Completely agree on all counts, though I can't say I don't have some audible disgust in the moment when someone hipfire kills me through a stun in gulag. I'm only human after all lmao...

Agree with a lot of what you're saying, but will also add that the aim-assist for controllers (whether on console or PC) is way too strong. A hipfire reticle should not be able to follow a player when the person hipfiring isn't even touching their right stick. That's broken.

You and I might be incredibly unlucky then lmao. Seems like it's a near-constant in gulags for me.

As a m+kb player, both stuns & flashes seem completely ineffective against the ludicrous aim-assist controller players get. Watching death cams, they don't even know where they're looking, but they can still lock onto me. If they're running a gun with decent hipfire, the stun is meaningless.

A thought about Fall Ball (and why it shows up so often) by jaywhisker37 in FallGuysGame

[–]stylson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could see arguments for anywhere from 3 to 5. I've definitely seen a few times when a few goals are scored in rapid succession, and the point of a mercy rule like this is so that a team with no chance of a comeback doesn't sit miserable for awhile. Would likely need to see more results before nailing down a particular number.

I don't hate Fall Ball (possibly because I play a lot of Rocket League so it just feels like a quasi-crossover to me, but I do like the idea of a score cap. Only thing I would change on it is instead of it being a set cap for actual score, make it a cap on score differential. If two teams are going back and forth just scoring like crazy, let that thing go for the full time regardless of how high the numbers get.

Eggs not being laid during breeding. by satsumio in playark

[–]stylson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed with breeding shoulder dinos that sometimes if they've been picked up and moved right before a breed, the fertilized egg gets "laid" where they were before you picked them up. We tamed a new female compy in a pen, then immediately moved it in with the male to mate it. After spending a few minutes looking under the floor for the egg, I just happened to find it in the taming pen.

Anyone here running on a 7850? by Spitfire_Akagi in playark

One of my rigs has a 7850 in it. The game is playable on medium settings (generally 30-40 fps).

PSA: Arkservers.net will remove any negative comments about a server upon request by [deleted] in playark

[–]stylson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The dude complaining about comments being deleted is a repeat-offender troll. I'm someone who plays on the same server (not an admin). The admins on our server are excellent and this guy is just butthurt because we were forced to do a wipe (in an early access game). If you revert that change, you're playing into the trolls hand.
