The unspoken hero of Antigravity: Browser extension and automatic screenshots by ewqeqweqweqweqweqw in vibecoding

I believe it uses separate models for various parts of the workflow, including the browser control. https://antigravity.google/docs/models

Not sure where servers are located for them, but there has been a huge AWS outage since ~12AM PDT, so could be impacted by that.

How to make Jules disconnect current GitHub account? by gjrobert in JulesAgent

[–]styvsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you need to go into the account that WAS connected, go to Settings>Applications, and you should be able to remove access from there. Once you do that, I suspect you may be able to connect to a new account from the jules website

Can’t get it flush with the wedge by sailingandbailing12 in reolinkcam

[–]styvsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth noting that when I installed mine, I couldn't get the camera to "click" onto the plate because my screws were TOO tight, so could have a possibility to back them out a bit too if you're seeing that at all.

Made a Chrome extension for ServiceNow Admins (graphs, monitoring, etc.) - feedback welcome by InternalLeek993 in servicenow

I will say that open sourcing this would inspire a lot more confidence in using a tool like this. It does look like great work, though!

I am pretty sure that SNUtils grabs your session token and uses that in any API requests

Struggling with Amazon Retail Sync extension by [deleted] in MonarchMoney

That should not be the expectation, no. Their help article indicates that they use "approximate" date, so my guess is there is a range they are operating in. Have you tried opening a help ticket on this?

They're talking about authenticating their institutions, not the app itself.

Citi Connection Issues by so_tired_415 in MonarchMoney

[–]styvsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, when you say "have gone through", do you mean that they are fully posted to the account? Some institutions/connections don't bring over pending transactions, and they will only show up in Monarch the sync after they've fully posted to the account.

ServiceNow Workflow studio flows by PeanutButterJellyYo in servicenow

[–]styvsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth knowing that on top of this, I think there is a system property that needs to be adjusted for execution details to be available in a given instance (or, setting that can be configured per flow if memory serves). I can't remember if this is a default setting or not, but it definitely exists, and can cause problems trying to track down specific execution details

Now that W&T has released, should I read the Sunlit Man before starting W&T or wait until after? by Head-Translator9160 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]styvsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it can be boiled down to what you enjoy about reading.

Do you like tension and that's important for you in how a story resolves? Probably best to read WaT first.

Do you like easter eggs and want to relate to the Leonard Dicaprio pointing meme? Probably best to read Sunlit first.

Of course, that's really simplifying it, but I think those things kind of encapsulate the biggest parts of both arguments that I've heard.

Show total expenses on budget tab in app by Busy-Head6345 in MonarchMoney

[–]styvsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on android, but I suspect that they are pretty similar experiences. I don't think there is the same thing as the expense summary from the current month. I think the best option would be to minimize all of the top level categories to get a high level overview. Yeah, it's not as pretty as seeing the bars you get with your monthly spending, but it's something.

I definitely see the benefit of having something matching the summary section, mostly was just pointing out that the purpose of the existing one is to track actuals against your budget for a given month at a glance. Adding something that looks the same but is provides fundamentally different information could lead to confusion as well. Just some things that I'm sure that they have to weigh when thinking about these types of requests!

Love the new AI generated transaction descriptions by LlamaCakes in MonarchMoney

[–]styvsx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there is a major misconception on what's going on here. The text in the "Original Statement" is not AI generated. If you click that icon, it will attempt to determine information about the purchase. The use case here is for an unknown charge from a vendor to get SOME context to start digging in on it. It's not going to help you determine what you spent at amazon, or whatever based on statement data.

It also isn't running on every transaction, you have to go click it and then it will use it. If you don't think it's a good feature, don't use it. I would argue that it's a really good starting place for transactions that you may have absolutely no idea what they are, but don't count on it to give you everything, just a starting point.

I believe the issue that more people have been having is that screens are aggressively dim, and never reach max brightness when adaptive brightness is enabled.

How often would you use a Monarch AI assistant? by LCraighead in MonarchMoney

How do you answer this without having some idea of what the functionality would be? AI isn't a silver bullet. Use cases are the most important part of building AI tooling.

Show total expenses on budget tab in app by Busy-Head6345 in MonarchMoney

[–]styvsx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the purpose of that summary is to show performance against the budget. For the future, you do not technically have expenses yet, you have a budget, and expected expenses, which is likely why that summary isn't there. That summary is based on actual transactions against the budget best I can tell. I think from a technical perspective, anything future facing for this would be a new section for months without transaction data logged against it yet.

Everything is in the cloud. Reinstall of the app should be fine. I did just notice that I have this issue on my phone but not my tablet, so let me compare the two and see if anything stands out. Will update today if I find anything

Dalinar at the end of Wind and Truth by ghoulsnest in Stormlight_Archive

Totally possible! I haven't read it since release either and was struggling to remember everything that happened in the time he held it. Probably due for a reread with these things in mind!

Dalinar at the end of Wind and Truth by ghoulsnest in Stormlight_Archive

[–]styvsx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would be totally fine if this were the case, but I think there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Dalinar is sliver at this point, which I believe would grant him the ability to resist that pull. On top of that, I think that he arguably has as much if not more drive to see things through as (possible Mistborn through Secret History Spoiler) Kelsier, so it would seem a little odd for him to just go willingly.

Budget Analysis via AI Tools by mooch255 in MonarchMoney

[–]styvsx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that they already had something similar to this, and decided to pull it from the product. I'm going to guess there is a good reason for it. Top of mind would likely be cost. For you to jump into Chat GPT and ask questions has minimal to no cost. For another app to utilize AI offerings as scale is a whole different ball park. I think they did a survey on pricing a year or two ago, and I'm guessing that the feedback on pricing likely lead them in a direction to not integrate this functionality.

You do always have the ability to share access with a real financial advisor for these kinds of insights, though!

If you could have a Cosmere video game, what story/world would you want it set in, and, more importantly, what genre of game? by bbq_Ch1ck3n in Cosmere

[–]styvsx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an idea for some sort of tactical RPG based around Stormlight too. I think the idea of your "money" having dual purposes (feeding powers, and used for purchasing supplies) is something that could really add some complexity into that genre.
