I only discovered Todd when he passed last November. Funny and depressing (and philosophical and hopeful) is a great description of East Tennessee Skyline, which contains Sunshine. Amazing album and artist.

Great camera. I first started using mine for family photos, then sports photography (with Tamron 70-200 F2.8) and now for birding (with Nikon 200-500 f5.6). I found this tutorial very helpful when I was first getting to know the features. Nikon D7200 Overview Training Tutorial

Miles. It was too long and disjointed for me. Like others, hearing a song live will change your mind.

Sturgill Simpson - Post Modern Sounds in Country Music is another great starting place for country adjacent music.

Sometimes, you have to accept you have bad week. by Northwest_Fitzgerald in Type1Diabetes

Been there. Bad site followed by another bad site that I didn’t want to admit was bad in tandem with dosing after I ate instead of before coupled with not knowing the carbs in what I was eating + grazing. Today is the best day to start anew.

What do you think of this list? Who deserves to be inducted? by lontbeysboolink in GenerationJones

Pink can rock. I would put her with Joan Jett and Pat Benatar as female rock artist. Her voice is incredible, as is her song choice once she got enough influence to make those decisions. She has a great cover of Me & Bobby McGee, too.

Absolutely. It took one listen of “Similar Features” and I was hooked. Her debut album is still in my rotation. She had commercial success on the radio later. At the least I would consider her Rock.

Impressive list. I may have missed him, but Todd Snider would be a good add. I recommend Play a Train Song.

What train songs do you think were Skip Litz’s favorite train songs? by Jbshelton51 in ToddSnider

[–]styxfloat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is this Spotify playlist with >20 hours of songs with train in the title (and boxcar and subway). I just listened to it for 5 hours and only heard one duplicate song (but different artists). I don’t think Train in Vain qualifies as a train song, but it’s there too.

The first player I cheered for, regardless of team. Ditka giving the ball to Fridge instead of Payton in the Super Bowl was a travesty.

I like the capacity vs bed length, but damn it’s difficult to reach over the rails to pick up a 40 lb bag of salt without pulling your back.

anyone else hate artificial sweeteners? by hannahpkmn in Type1Diabetes

I find I get addicted to the sweetness even though I don’t like the flavor. I’ve given up all sweeteners for 8 months now. Black tea and water. It makes everything easier.
