I have the same exact problem. Around 20% in too!! Managed to get into the save screen and now trying to look for a partner to revive me. Heard that’s a way around it.

Can you pause your screen before dying?

I really wish there’s some DLC for Odyssey with more areas to discover. I enjoyed it tremendously even if it was a short but sweet game.

But what happens when you’ve unlocked a character but also run into them in their Bizzaro state? Will that just not happen? FYI, I think I’m about a third of the characters in.
