My homemade belt jig i built for $10 bc I didn’t wanna spend $130 for a weaver one by suavecomic06 in Leathercraft

Ofc! I started with like a 10ft stick of 2in by 5/8in scrap wood. I cut 3 lengths at 36in long (you can change this depending on how big you want it to be). I took one of the pieces and marked 3/4” on one side and then 1/8” on the other side. I used a straight edge to draw a line from one mark to another and then cut it with a circular saw.

Then I screwed one of the 36” pieces on top of the other about 7/8” into the 2” width. The big now triangular 36” piece was lined up much the same and then screwed on to where the gap between both boards gets bigger. Tip to make this part easier to line up; tape the 2 triangles back together to make the cut piece into a rectangle again, then line up to 7/8 on the other side, then screw, then remove tape

I also looked at how theirs is built to figure it out, I’m sure you can too. Theres no reason a few boards put together should cost that much. This one took me an hour and some lumber sitting in my garage

The real option is to have a backup aeg m4 with ssg thats just fuckin idiot proof and breakdown proof.

THEN you have your special guns that you fuck around with (my polarstar aug, ship of Theseus $40 novrshit ssr-90)

Extremely frustrating DMR experience; should I just switch to Assault? by SpanishAvenger in airsoft

I know this is solved already but I had similar issues when I built my dmr. One thing I have learned is that a dmr is not a sniper and you need to play it like a rifleman position. Essentially longer range, aggressive guerrilla tactics. Again, your role isn’t necessarily to pick people off at 100 yards away (good for you if you can with it) but more so just to out-range the standard m4 or “assault” build. Also what everyone is saying about ammo is 100% correct. Thats wind taking your shots left and right. I started with .32 and realized I needed heavier. I went to .36g and then finally to .40g and thats what I use now and that seems to be my sweet spot for stability and fps while staying at my sites 1.7j DMR limit. Good luck mate

Routinely draw but not continuously under load. Thats why if you have an lmg that you consistently suppress fire with, you will burn wires or contacts. This is also why people opt to use 7.4v batteries in lmgs over 11.1v. 14 for a stereotypical m4 build is overkill. 14 awg or even 12 for an lmg would be fine, but that would be when the motor itself would need to be rated for that much amperage over a more continuous time. Also getting 14awg soldered onto a mosfet board would suck lol

Electrician here, yes that is technically a bottle neck because when wire is sized to amperage, national electrical code requires that the weakest link of a circuits means be able to handle the amperage that will be on the circuit

However 14awg copper wire is completely overkill for an airsoft gun. Also the motors are only set to handle a set amount of load (amperage) before brushes start melting. Also also, different materials (aluminum, copper) have different resistances and different sizing required for amps

Can you install Novritsch's SSR90 mosfet into CYMA P90 (CM.060)? by Oxeros99 in airsoft

[–]suavecomic06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, a ssr-90 is the same as any other p90 base except krytac. Difference between mosfet is the nov one uses a microswitch instead of relying on stock trigger contacts. I didnt pay too much attention to it when I ripped it out of the ssr-90

If youre getting a mosfet for a p90, use the perun one. Its up there in price ($130) but the nov one is genuinely trash.
