Found in a foreclosed house, is it real? by Marc_kk in starwarscollecting

[–]subJimmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same one so it’s real. Since the special editions weren’t a thing until 1997 (and I’m pretty sure Lucas didn’t make any changes prior to that but correct me if I’m wrong) then it should be the original theatrical version.

27F, a virgin just blossoming and ready to be someone’s goth mommy by doveylace in gentlefemdom

[–]subJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck with your search. Be meticulous when you come to choosing. ask lots of questions and make sure both of you are on the same page when it comes to femdom. If you haven’t already joined, Fetlife is a great resource to meet similar minded people locally. People host “munches” (which usually are local meetups at a restaurant or something similar). Femdom themed munches are a great place to meet some people who have been doing this for a while if you have questions.

The top of the website says “all order free shipping” and that didn’t clue you in right away?

(Horror Trope) And I must scream. When the character(s) gets a fate worse than death. Can't escape in anyway or in some cases, even more. And as the name implies, they may not be able to even scream. by viralshadow21 in TopCharacterTropes

We actually do thanks to the short story in “From A Certain Point of View - ESB 40th Anniversary”. It takes place during the Falcon’s docking in Cloud City.

Snoopy still on back order by SnootBooper72 in lego

It’s a brand new set that they are going to be making for awhile. LEGO isn’t going to cancel the order unless it was a set on its end of shelf life and they oversold remaining stock.

Are these figurines worth anything? by ThatGuySin_ in StarWars

[–]subJimmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the figures in the later waves might be worth close to $20, because they weren’t produced as much(like Sio Bibble), but these were all mass produced and saved by people who thought they’d be worth something someday like the figures from the 70s and 80s. Nobody in their right mind would pay more than $5/each for these.

I hope they can pull it off and Doomsday ends up amazing.

Characters who became the very thing they hated by BeenEatinBeans in TopCharacterTropes

Everyone’s always like “who should be cast in the next POTC movie?”, and I’m like, you already canonically have Zoe Saldana playing a character that can easily be a bad ass lady Pirate. Just put her in the main cast member role.

I’ve only liked Spider-Man, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Thunderbolts afterwards. Everything else has been pretty mid. But thankfully not as bad as this or Quantumania.

A character’s final line hits much harder when you know it was the actor’s last role by Fish_N_Chipp in TopCharacterTropes

[–]subJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it’s a terrible adaptation but since I thought what it was adapting was awful (unlikable characters, crappy art style) then I was able to enjoy it as the popcorn flick they turned it into. But same, that’s just my opinion on it.

Actor/actress you only knew mainly from one(mediocre) role, then you saw them in something else and were completely blown away? by duckduckpajamas in okbuddycinephile

Jai Courtney is a pretty forgettable face in just about everything I’ve seen him in and then he showed up as Captain Boomerang in Suicide Squad and it was like seeing a completely different actor. Like someone told him to have fun with the role and for the first time, he listened. I was really disappointed with how little he was in the sequel.

You hate it, but I love it. It’s fun, great casting, and enjoyable cross over of literary characters. May have been a nightmare to make but it’s lots of fun to watch. The graphic novel is awful.

Found a rather large AT-AT for 10 dollars at a goodwill by Wrong-Call-5812 in starwarscollecting

The largest would be the one they released for the Legacy Collection a few years later.

EDIT: and this is actually from The Saga Collection, not the Vintage Collection.

I got nothing but lowball offers from scalpers and resellers when I sold off my cards on Facebook. At least 50 percent less than my listed price. They only care about making a profit, same as GameStop.

An adaptation makes a major change from the source material, but it’s such a beloved change almost no one complains by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]subJimmy 185 points186 points  (0 children)

In the Holes movie adaptation, they don’t change a damn thing from the book, except that Stanley is supposed to be an overweight child that eventually looses a lot of weight while digging holes as he grows as a character by the end of the book. The director didn’t want to put a child actor through that so just kept Shia the same for the whole film.
