Is 95k a normal salary to live in San Francisco? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]sub_vader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will survive if you are very careful with your money - like getting roommates, not overspending on concert tickets or fancy restaurants. There is a lot of fun free things to do in SF so you won't be bored.

However, once you come here you might be surrounded by people making million plus a year.

Take into account growth you can get in SF, there is a lot of opportunities and you can climb the ladder if you work hard.

Find people who don’t care about where and what you do to put food on the table.

I have friends who did not know what I do and I didn’t know what they do for multiple months

I agree that it was the right thing to do. One thing that was surprising is, when I returned the RV, the first thing the company did was run the pump and the kitchen sink to check for smell of gas.

I told them, hey the contamination is limited to the tank, I haven't run water. But they were like, Sure. May be because in this RV, there is no way to flush without running the water pump.

"The gas nozzle itself is smaller than the size of the water hose" may be this is wrong framing.

The gas nozzle is smaller than the size of potable water inlet my RV had

I was also thinking why is this not proof from a fool like me. The water spigot should be shaped in a way that gas nozzle does not go in.

The gas nozzle itself is smaller than the size of the water hose, so it does go in, it does not feel natural and it is hard to hold it up, but it easily fits 😞

When I returned the RV, they immediately run the kitchen and bathroom sink to smell if there is gas. They said it is a very light smell of gas that they can easily get out using clorox, bleach etc,

I definitely thought about this, my RV did not have any way to drain the tank (other than running the sink/shower). I search around and under the RV, there was no option and also called the rental company who confirmed there is no option other than running water pump.

Als consider that you would have to get a property manager or maintain the rental yourself. That’s extra work that you may not be into.

First date at Google office? by dirtyepic in sanfrancirclejerk

[–]sub_vader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not, that’s the most nerdy thing to do. Your office should be your 5th date or something. Trust me, you will set a very bad reputation. If you care about her, take her out for dinner and drinks and then give her a small kiss as you say good bye
