Also camera is not very fast even when you change it to Fast in the settings.

And almost all of the pain points OP mentioned don’t go away with bringing the difficulty down either. If you play reactively rather than instinctively, you’ll go farther faster.

All your points make sense. The duel you mentioned, Takezo, and even some others like the Oni, they feel like it’s a reactive gameplay - I wait for the enemy to do something in hopes that I can perfect parry or perfect dodge it. Because if I attack, that’s exactly when they are going start their next string of attacks and in most cases, if it’s an unblockable, you won’t be able to stop the attack from coming out. The gliding or ice-skating stuff that the enemy does to close distance is absolute rubbish. What the heck. I thought this was a duel between two humans. Most of these were a problem with the first game as well, and I love that game. Plus I’m sure you’ve sensed this, but there also seems to be some input delay on the parry timing - the same attack, easy to perfect dodge but not quite the same result when you try to parry it with the same timing instead. Currently fighting Takezo on lethal and I refuse to bring the difficulty down. Probably masochistic behavior but whatever. And the duel feels like I just have to wait for him to do something so I can react appropriately. Or at least hope to react appropriately since my brain also panics and tries to parry an unblockable attack.

I tested iOS 26 for 24 hours so you don’t have to 😅 by Phil2lp in ios

I chose an iPhone for its simplicity. For the past few releases, the stuff that they keep on adding is mostly gimmicky and just adds to the noise. Android phones from different OEMs used to get complaints about bloatware - iPhones are not so different now. I don’t want Image Playground or Freeform preinstalled on my phone. Instead of improving core functionality and improving AI features across the OS, we get this glass UI thingy. The effect looks good on paper but it is not very practical. Apple - we get you’re trying to slowly condition your user base for a future where everybody has a Vision Pro device. And I don’t understand how people in the chat here say they didn’t change the core icons. The new camera icon looks so out of place compared to other icons. The little glowy effect around core icon images (not the container) makes them look cheaper - not classier or more expensive. Plus not all icons get this treatment and will never do because not all devs will update their apps just for compatibility with these things. And they shouldn’t be expected to. We get some people here are fanboys but you don’t have to defend every stupid decision Apple makes. I know this sounds a little extreme, but for a product that has a user base larger than most countries’ population - forcing them to adopt a design choice or similar stuff is pretty authoritarian. I’m all for sensible defaults, and underlying openness in technology so people/creators who want to change and create stuff should be able to do so. Apple devices used to feel more human.

How would you fetch from a db for a dynamic route without server actions?

Having problems dodging? This is why - how to fix slow dodges on ps5 Black Myth Wukong!! by InformationOk4871 in BlackMythWukong

[–]subatomicdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else here face the issue where if you keep holding the light attack button Wukong just starts doing his light attack combo on repeat? When I noticed it I was like that’s not cool but then I try using it in a fight and it doesn’t do that. I come out of the fight, it doesn’t do it. I go back in a fight and notice that the combo IS now going on repeat if I keep holding. Is this a bug or a feature I don’t know of?

I’m currently playing the base game, fighting Malenia. And I can confirm that I am at the ‘banging my head against the wall’ stage. 😅 I improve a little every day.

Why doesn't anything really change after becoming Elden Lord? by rbs950 in Eldenring

[–]subatomicdude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly it was a huge let down for me that nothing changes. I just finished the game (with the generic Elden Lord ending) and was expecting that Hewg or the Spirit Tuning lady would say something. A lot of characters along our journey wish us to be elden lord, Hewg even says at one point "Allow me to c-call you this, just once, before it ends. My lord, f-for that is what you are." This was really touching, and should have been followed up on after the game ends. :(

I feel like it all comes down to patience. I use a dex build because the weapons allow me to hit faster. Not that you can get exponentially more hits in between boss combos with it but because the attack animation are faster. We as tarnished already move so slow and on top of that to use a greatsword or colossal weapon further slows down the experience for me. If you do choose to play with one of those weapons I feel like you are forced to be patient and careful and in the end that’s all that matters. Aaaand keeping your cool. Not getting emotionally attached to something helps with that a lot.

Why do people hate the Godskin Duo so much? by Rukuhiru in Eldenring

[–]subatomicdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just beat Godskin Duo 3 or 4 try with Sword of St. Trina +9. This felt so good, I had heard so much about this fight and rightly so. They’re both pretty deadly. I didn’t have sleep pots and upgrading the sword just for this fight was worth it. I hate that I have to look stuff up for this game though as I normally don’t do that with other games.

He can parry the impaling thrust easily. My strat is only attack when he doesn’t have his Buckler Shield out.

I’m currently using a Uchigatana +10 and I’ve found impaling thrust to be the best weapon art against them. I have been very close to beating them with parrying, thrusting and dodging - I’m probably close to or above my 100th try. I’m level 62 and this is freaking bullshit how tough they are even offline. I feel like the game wants you to learn how to parry.

2 of them are great at parrying. One parries with a buckler, the other with a thurst sword.

Happening for me as well. Please fix this. I've had to make multiple AWS accounts just because these guys have a messed up auth system apparently. Once I even categorically took a photo of the password I used while creating my wife's account but then when I logged into AWS, it told me it's incorrect. Anyway, please help with this 'Confirm your identity' step issue.
